Trying for a Baby Part Six

No he's only there for 2, 3 years. You can see why I don't want to quit my job:o But with my advancing age, I really must get on with having a baby. It's now or never, so I'm pulling out all the stops:cool:
According to the doctor, my blood test was 'really very good' and ovaries looks good so I have high expectations on my eggies:cool: C'mon baby Q!:j
Glad your DH is back to his normal self:)
Ahh, well in that case, it would be quite dangerous to give up your job in the UK. The current job climate isn't great, so if you have a good job, it's worth holding onto as 2-3 years is nothing really and will fly by!
COME ONE BABY Q!!!
Thanks, me too!He has his model plane project to finish off this weekend and then off out to fly it on Sunday.....hopefully. That will really cheer him up!

Hello all, just popping in quickly to say hi as I haven't been in for a couple of days.
I don't know what's going on with me - lots of EWCM the past couple of days, and what I'm pretty sure is ov pains today. But I'm only on CD6!?! Aargh why are bodies so confusing?!
BD-d last night, so if I am oving, could be in with a shout this month. Hoepfully my temp will shoot up tomorrow morning...
Right sorry gotta go, hope you all have a lovely friday!

(The legs will have to be uncrossed later for some BD'ing, but the thought is there..)In fact it is the title of my favourite book - "Divorcing Jack" by a guy called Colin Bateman. He was a journalist in my home town in Northern Ireland and his books are hilarious. Very black humour, but if that's your thing, you should definitely give it a go. "Divorcing jack" was make into a film as well - worth a watch of a Friday evening.I'm confused about my OV though - 25 day cycle, CD10 today. CM a little tiny bit stretchy, but not much of it. Cervix high (I think!!), but feels hard. Isn't it meant to be soft? Had pains all day yesterday which felt like they were directly behind my hip bones - could they be OV pains? Still happening today.

Hi,
Not been on here for a long while but just wanted to say i have still been lurking and all the BFP from the 'older'(not age) TTC's theres hope for us all.
It will be 1 year in may since i started TTC - i havent been posting as the mental (im not a loony) effect it has, has been unbelievable. I like other didnt think that i would be trying this amount of time and from the start we told our familys all they have been saying is oh arent you pregnant etc...so anyway tried the relax, tried the temping nothing has worked. i do think that we arent trying enough although people have one night stands all the time and it happens for them.
i went the the doctors at the start of this month and it was a locum (not quite sure if thats a good thing or a bad one) i think he felt sorry for me really as i was really nervous and thought to myself i cant cry well my voice was quirvering as i was explaining myself so he has booked me in for blood tests next week to see if i am ovaulating - not quite sure what happens after that but we will see.....
just wanted to check in on you guys

Keza that sounds promising doesn't it?! Could it have been implantation or is it too late in the cycle for that?
Fingers crossed for no af.

And royal jelly.......I see it's good for something to do with TTCing but also have seen comments about it being good for IBS. I'm not sure that I actually have IBS but things are certainly a bit tempremental in that department so it might help me. Have I got that right?Bigzippy- Wow! and congrats on the weightloss, :jits a bloomin hard slog ain't it!
)
trying to do 2 things at once is never a good idea if you are meI treated myself to an egg and bacon sarnie with ketchup this morning to celebrate :rotfl: xx"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

Bigzippy massive congrats on the bmi hon! good work x
A question for you weight loss ladies - is it possible to lose a stone in a month just through diet?? trying to drop a bit for cousins wedding on may 28th. Have changed diet this week so at the moment having fruit for brekkie, a low fat lunch (either soup or turkey salad roll) and then a healthy dinner, e.g. tonight we're having tuna steaks teriyaki with stir fry veggies. am pretty clueless about dieting but really want to lose the weight! xx
I did speak to my doc - and following the GTT test coming out with IGT, and considering my (was) current BMI all my other conditions and lack of mobility - he recommended only having 1200 calories a day (he'd said 1400 previously, but it just seemed impossible) So for the last month I've had an average of 1452 cals a day (I had a couple of slip upsBut I've been aiming for anywhere between 1200 and 1400, with a buffer of up to 1500 for "special" occasions).
Obviously this is not medical advice, and it all depends on your current BMI (if you want to know what mine was PM me - I'm a smidge embarrassed to be open about it!) and how active you are. I'm not active at all, so my body needs far less calories to function. For most people losing a stone in a month would be considered 'unhealthy', but it depends what weight you're starting off at.
I use Calorie Count to track what I have (it works out the nutritional content of recipes you enter etc too) and my weigh ins and any activity I do manage (it works out how many calories you have burned when you put in what you've done) and all that, so I've found it an invaluable tool. I think they now do a mobile app too
HTHClinic called me to come in for a scan, so I went. They wanted to see if everything is OK in there, which it was. And I've started injections - which I've done before, so it's a breeze.
Just need to fill out some consent forms. Now what to do with embryos if DH or I die? I'd be happy to give it to another couple, but better ask DH:DYou could've ov'd at around CD14, and you may be just 6DPO...Singapore. We had mc in Aug 2009, re-started ttc in Dec 09, DH transferred to Singapore on 31st Dec:o We live apart now, don't want to give up my job in the UK. That's one of the reason why ttc is not working:pNo he's only there for 2, 3 years. You can see why I don't want to quit my job:o But with my advancing age, I really must get on with having a baby.
