Beginning to wish I never had IUD inserted :( Developed very bad pains in my lower abdomen this afternoon, took some ibuprofen, nothing. They got worse, I was in tears, tried to call docs but they are closed on Tuesday afternoons and I couldn't understand the rest of the message (mainly because I was panicking a bit by then).

Anyway, spoke to my manager and she called the alternative number provided and got me an appt with another doctor, drove me there and he ruled out a bladder infection, but thought the IUD could be causing trouble or slipped or something. So, he sent me off to the gynaecologist at the hospital and she did an internal ultrasound and internal exam. Ultrasound was all clear, but there was more pain towards my left side with the internal exam. However, as they couldn't find any sinister reason for the pain, they are putting it down to the 'settling' of the IUD causing continued cramping and pain. So, now just gotta dose up on paracetemol and ibuprofen until it passes. If it gets worse, or I develop a temp or vomiting, I have to go straight back.

Feeling carp, but at least my uterus and ovaries apparantly look healthy and the speed of service I received from the doc and hospital was brilliant.

Tinksy - what sort of music/songs do you like to sing? my oh is in a band, doesn't sing though. wishing you lots of luck in the run up to your gig :)

I sing anything but mainly rocky/folky/country stuff I play the guitar sometimes to :D

CD10 here and still no OPKs done in this house I'm like the polar opposite of myself the last few months!! I am now taking royal jelly 100mg once a day to start with. It is supposed to help with hayfever (with which i suffer), endocrine problems (with which I suffer) and is supposed to be really good for fertility! its the stuff the queen bee is fed on when she is coming up to making babies!! can take a couple of months to work but it is also safe to take through pregnancy.

we are having homemade pizza for tea which I am extremely excited about!!:T:T

    Hi hunny :)
Hoping this helps you - what you are experiencing is exactly the symptoms I experienced after I had mine inserted so it sounds normal although I fully understand the pain too x
If it gets worse call out of hours mind but it honestly sounds just like my stomach felt afterwards x If it is the same it does ease and settle hun x

    Hi divorcingjack and welcome
OH is using the tactic of saying "come on boys!!" rather enthusiastically after BDing. So far, this has not proved effective.

My mum and dad took 10 years to conceive me, so I am a bit scared/paranoid about that. It ended up a brill story though - they were on their way out of the door to sign adoption papers for another child when the phone rang and it was the Dr telling my mum she was pregnant!

Your OHs tactic made me lol :rotfl: My DH used to do the same - now he tells his mates he's so knackered from all of the BDing :rotfl: The grass is always greener....! :p Your parents story is lovely :A

Euro - sorry you're having trouble with your IUD hun, hope it settles down soon. Good news on all the other bits though
tinksy - homemade pizza is YUM! I shall be putting that on my list for next week with homemade pizza dough!

Congrats on another BFP in the group!!

    (((hugs))) for SusanC

I am on CD14 today, have had two days of lots of ewcm, much more than I would normally have, had two days of OV pains too so hubby has gone to work looking a bit worn out this morning bless him!

DD finished her last session of radiotherapy yesterday, we now have a week and a half wait until her next scan. We know there is no more they can do for her now which is making me very miserable. So I am off to the docs early next week to go and see what they can suggest whilst ttc.

I seemed to have missed your post earlier fellpony - sorry. Big hugs to you and your family, your DD is amazing and sounds like a strong girl, hope the scan goes well and you find a silver lining xxx

I feel rather daunted by the whole detailed knowledge you all seem to have, there I was thinking it was a case of some rather enjoyable BD'ing and away we go, shows how little I know :o
