Trying for a Baby Part Six

Techincally I guess I am still pregnant (22 weeks) but scan last week showed the baby has died so I'm now waiting for her to be born.
God be with you.
Kitten_Pie wrote: »Long time coming then, I'm really glad to hear of your BFP, KP. What issue(s) did they find/foresee to have told you that, if you don't mind my asking?
I had lots of scans, first they said it was pcos then said it wasn't and they didn't know what it is. However one tube has large cyst on it that makes it unviable - the risks to remove it outway the benefits.
On the other side my eggs don't fully develop and wrap around causing pain.
Sounds like PCOS to me but they said that it definately wasn't etc. Hense why I took their almost impossible to conceive comment with a pinch of salt.
Just want to confirm now that all is as it should be and not stuck somewhere else.
On a similar subject my mother was also told at my age that she would never have children and she went on to have three girls. Doctors aren't alway right:DGreener_Grass wrote: »Hiya,
Yes provera seemed to work as had high temps! Stopped taking it yesterday so fingers crossed for AF, I'm only on CD106 afterall!!!
Fully intend to take soy and metformin next month! Really fingers crossed it works! Spent £28 last week for vitamins for OH that the consultant at FS recommended, Not opened them yet, I'm tempted to wait till after his SA to see if he really needs them as £28 is alot of money!
The good news is, i went to my first slimming world weigh in tonight and have lost 5.5 lbs! :j:j:j SO happy i nearly cried, Looks like i'm on fast track to loose 3 stone and get clomid!! So proud of myself :T(
Hope the soy, metformin, and weight loss all produce a BFP before you even need ClomidThey reckon a 10% loss (of weight) is enough to kick start things in PCOS cases, don't they? So you're well on your way!

DD finished her last session of radiotherapy yesterday, we now have a week and a half wait until her next scan. We know there is no more they can do for her now which is making me very miserable.I started spotting yesterday afternoon, so took extra progesterone tabs (I've checked the packet and it said no ill effects are reported from overdosing, but it's hardly overdosing, 3 tabs/day instead of 2). It's still spotting today, but that's fine. Hope full flow AF arrives tomorrow:jIt worries me that this might be my surge but I have no opk's left to test again (they are due to arrive tomorrow) any thoughts???"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0

can't wait for my first peak. I suppose it is a lot of pressure to suddenly have to go for it! MY DH still hasn't done his fertility test, as he has to do it between 9-11am, Mon-Fri, and once done, rush it to the hospital whilst keeping it warm. Talk about pressure!!:o
That was back in July 2010 (no BD on either Peaks:o).so i'm back - my best mate has just announced she is pregnant and i'm so pleased for her, but at the same time felt like i wished it was me...hello to those still here (esp qq) hopefully it'll be your turn soon xAlwaysthebusybee wrote: »Are these expensive to buy - I would love to have a better idea of when to try ... As for CBFM, I've heard some larger Superdrugs have them at £20. I've never seem them though:o
Difference between OPKs and CBFM sticks is that CBFM detects estrogen rise as well as LH, so can give you more notice.Hi, I don't know how many people remember me from before but it looks like I will be rejoining this thread sooner than I intended. We're not TTC yet but I was wondering if anyone has any links to information about what nutrients are particularly important when TTC?
I think the important nutrients is folic acid for both men and women. I have DH on folic acid since my mc.Kitten_Pie wrote: »Hopefully the luck will spread soon and I pass on any luck I have left over to you all.
Have a great pregnancy!:jDiva Tinksy went well, I have actually been booked for a gig on my own! I used to sing in a band and I got dumped back in Jan and so lost my confidence and now I have a gig for the end of july. quite excited although need to find a lot of songs!!The control line was there, but very very faintly. Hence I think FMU might be better? *shrug* :huh:CD 1 - Cramping tummy ache ...JennyJewell wrote: »I'm also losing a grey and white coloured matter - sort of seems like skin tissue? It's too sad
I have been to Weigtwatchers tonight and have lost another 1.5lbs, only 2.5 lbs to my goal weight, hopefully will get there by Easter/ May bank holidays when we go away for a couple of baby making weekends. Then went to body combat, I love it! Its better if you've had a bad day though as you can really take out your frustrations.have got some in my bedside drawer, the ones with a pot and a dip stick, but feel like i'm tempting fate.(Month 1 would just be ridiculous!).my chart for last month when I'm pretty sure I didn't ov, here it is: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/33e41b/Kitten_Pie wrote: »Sounds like PCOS to me but they said that it definately wasn't etc. Hense why I took their almost impossible to conceive comment with a pinch of salt.

Oh well, never mind, it's not like I'm not used to bfn by now!CD7(22ish) my trapped nerve is a little better so might be able to get a BD in laterI'll need to soon as I'm expecting to ov shortly....!
I will get pg, I will get pg, I will get pg
Happy BDing!:jUrgh period pain full on and getting worse today. Day 2 is always my worst and I have to go out for a meal as its my dads birthday.Think I shall be coming back and slobbing on the sofa with hot water bottle.so hubby has gone to work looking a bit worn out this morning bless him!DD finished her last session of radiotherapy yesterday, we now have a week and a half wait until her next scan. It better be right next time:DWelcome home QQ - fingers crossed AF doesn't arrive until tomorrow and then it's full steam ahead!!I think you should tempt fate and start a new thread. What do you think?!?
I'd do anything though:oTo save me reading back through 1 million pages - if I want to enhance ewcm with grapefruit juice, when do I start drinking it, how much should I be drinking and for how long? :cool:has anyone ever had this with an opk before? the control line showed up as normal, but behind the control line appeared another line but running the other way! if this makes sense! there wasn't a test line but this line that appeared behind the control line was as dark as. It worries me that this might be my surge but I have no opk's left to test again (they are due to arrive tomorrow) any thoughts???
But if in doubt, BD:DI am still at a loss for what a BFP is, could anyone explain?
PS. Glad you found that out:D Kind of most important abbrev of this thread:Dhere I was thinking it was a case of some rather enjoyable BD'ing and away we go, shows how little I know
Some of us (me) have been doing this too long, and have too much time on our hands (not healthy for TTC):o0 -
Thanks QQ - random faulty line it is
I was worried it may be the test line but in a different place due to a mistake in manufacturing (the silly things we come up with when TTC)

Didn't know provera could bring on ov too, whichever way it goes for you GG, af or ov bet you'll be over the moon to start a new cycle, 106 days must just be torture.
Have my f/up appointment at hospital next week and hoping for provera too, although I can guess they are going to say "give it a bit longer"!
Tinksy - what sort of music/songs do you like to sing? my oh is in a band, doesn't sing though. wishing you lots of luck in the run up to your gigDMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 315Married 03/04/2010with many thanks to MSE Wedding boardLO 23/03/12 Special thanks to TTC thread0 -

Hi everyone,
Can I join in? Can't quite believe I'm typing that but there you go! We are both 30, TTC #1, getting married and building a house all in the same year. I think of it as "stress testing our relationship"
We did the "not preventing" last month but no luck, so I have warned OH that we are properly trying this month. I'm CD 7 today, not temping or using OPK's just now though (I'd secretly like to as I am information obsessive - this thread has been a goldmine!!) I'm also on grapefruit juice - yuck!
OH is using the tactic of saying "come on boys!!" rather enthusiastically after BDing. So far, this has not proved effective.
My mum and dad took 10 years to conceive me, so I am a bit scared/paranoid about that. It ended up a brill story though - they were on their way out of the door to sign adoption papers for another child when the phone rang and it was the Dr telling my mum she was pregnant!
Anyway, looking forward to "meeting" you all. Baby dust to all and huge congrats to all the recent BFP's!
