Long time coming then, I'm really glad to hear of your BFP, KP. What issue(s) did they find/foresee to have told you that, if you don't mind my asking?

I had lots of scans, first they said it was pcos then said it wasn't and they didn't know what it is. However one tube has large cyst on it that makes it unviable - the risks to remove it outway the benefits.

On the other side my eggs don't fully develop and wrap around causing pain.

Sounds like PCOS to me but they said that it definately wasn't etc. Hense why I took their almost impossible to conceive comment with a pinch of salt.

Just want to confirm now that all is as it should be and not stuck somewhere else.

On a similar subject my mother was also told at my age that she would never have children and she went on to have three girls. Doctors aren't alway right:D
Wow, well done (even more!) on the BFP then! When will you see doc?
    Hiya,

Yes provera seemed to work as had high temps! Stopped taking it yesterday so fingers crossed for AF, I'm only on CD106 afterall!!!

Fully intend to take soy and metformin next month! Really fingers crossed it works! Spent £28 last week for vitamins for OH that the consultant at FS recommended, Not opened them yet, I'm tempted to wait till after his SA to see if he really needs them as £28 is alot of money!

The good news is, i went to my first slimming world weigh in tonight and have lost 5.5 lbs! :j:j:j SO happy i nearly cried, Looks like i'm on fast track to loose 3 stone and get clomid!! So proud of myself :T(
    Well done!! :T
Hope the soy, metformin, and weight loss all produce a BFP before you even need Clomid :D They reckon a 10% loss (of weight) is enough to kick start things in PCOS cases, don't they? So you're well on your way! :D

I started spotting yesterday afternoon, so took extra progesterone tabs (I've checked the packet and it said no ill effects are reported from overdosing, but it's hardly overdosing, 3 tabs/day instead of 2). It's still spotting today, but that's fine. Hope full flow AF arrives tomorrow:j
    Good luck! :D

Keep the PIAC til you get the new ones tomorrow, and BD tonight anyway, incase?

can't wait for my first peak. I suppose it is a lot of pressure to suddenly have to go for it! MY DH still hasn't done his fertility test, as he has to do it between 9-11am, Mon-Fri, and once done, rush it to the hospital whilst keeping it warm. Talk about pressure!!:o
    Oh first peak was magical:happyhear
That was back in July 2010 (no BD on either Peaks:o).

hello to those still here (esp qq) hopefully it'll be your turn soon x
I remember you:) Lots of oldies are getting BFPs now, so it must be our turn now:cool:
Are these expensive to buy - I would love to have a better idea of when to try ... I am temping but it seems to be very up and down to me.
I use CBFM, IC Opks, temp and check ewcm and swollen-ness of vagina area:D

As for CBFM, I've heard some larger Superdrugs have them at £20. I've never seem them though:o
Difference between OPKs and CBFM sticks is that CBFM detects estrogen rise as well as LH, so can give you more notice.

Hi, I don't know how many people remember me from before but it looks like I will be rejoining this thread sooner than I intended. We're not TTC yet but I was wondering if anyone has any links to information about what nutrients are particularly important when TTC?
I'm so sorry to see you here again so soon.

I think the important nutrients is folic acid for both men and women. I have DH on folic acid since my mc.

To save me reading back through 1 million pages - if I want to enhance ewcm with grapefruit juice, when do I start drinking it, how much should I be drinking and for how long?

    Hi everyone,
Can I join in? Can't quite believe I'm typing that but there you go! We are both 30, TTC #1, getting married and building a house all in the same year. I think of it as "stress testing our relationship" :)

We did the "not preventing" last month but no luck, so I have warned OH that we are properly trying this month. I'm CD 7 today, not temping or using OPK's just now though (I'd secretly like to as I am information obsessive - this thread has been a goldmine!!) I'm also on grapefruit juice - yuck!

OH is using the tactic of saying "come on boys!!" rather enthusiastically after BDing. So far, this has not proved effective.

My mum and dad took 10 years to conceive me, so I am a bit scared/paranoid about that. It ended up a brill story though - they were on their way out of the door to sign adoption papers for another child when the phone rang and it was the Dr telling my mum she was pregnant!

Anyway, looking forward to "meeting" you all. Baby dust to all and huge congrats to all the recent BFP's!
