she does indeed sound like a wee ho! you'd think someone would have the sense to be embarrassed about that. maybe she's an exhibitionist

Me too! :rotfl: She is only 18 though, so still has quite a bit of growing up to do.

I tried so hard to find something in common with her, but there really isn't that much. She's still in the 'he said, she said' period and every other word is a swear word (which makes a conversation with her hard to follow).

I swear it sounds just like ur talking about my BILs wife. Except shes 27.....seems to have a real problem with me. I just put it dwn to fancying my DH, bit of jealousy and attitude problem all rolled into one....i know how u feel euro! Xx

    hehe i like your thinking!!

Had a wee chat with my boss today about what - if anything - would be entitled to in way of maternity pay if was pg just now or get pg in the near future. It was weird telling her as she is the only person in the world who knows now apart from OH, my best pal and you guys! She's trustworthy though and amitted she was considering trying herself & is trying to persuade her man!! (we're both around the same age). She's going to find out confidentially so fingers crossed for good news

Yeah, also pretty sure she has a crush on my OH too. He's always 'sweetpea', yet her own OH is just called by his name, except when he's trying to wake her for work and then it's 'f'ck off you w*nker'. Nice!

I do also wonder, as she is young, if she looks at me and thinks I'm stuck up, simply because I don't talk or act like her. I'm more reserved, and when around someone like her, much quieter as I eitehr a) don't have anything to say in response to her or b) the only thing I do have to say would def start an argument and I'd rather avoid that right now.

Surprised BIL is putting up with it, tbh. I know my OH wouldn't if I did that to him, and vice versa. But, it's his choice and they do seem to be happy enough together right now.

Glad I'm not the only one putting up with this though.

Well, I am also wondering if this was just how she was brought up. Maybe everyone in her house acts that way, so she doesn't realise it can make other people uncomfortable. I don't know though.

Is that not detailed in your employee manual?

Also, I thought the EU ruled last year that it had to be a minimum of 5 months? Which was great for me, as my company was only offering 3 months before that!

OH and I keep talking about the possibility of me being at home for the first few years though, so we'll see.

Bless him, every now and then he asks for a bit more information about TTC'ing. Yesterday was 'I know I joked about doing it 3 times a day, every day, but I don't think I could really keep up with that in reality. I'd be exhausted! Do we have to do it that often when we start trying?'. :) Bless him!

I let him know that the fertility window was only, approx 3-5 days, so he won't need to do it that often. And hey, you only have to do it once a day if you want to be really sure! :rotfl::rotfl:

    He does make me laugh!

I have to watch what im saying round my one too. I wasnt allowed to talk about my recent holiday, my wedding or my honeymoon around her or my BIL because i was 'rubbing their noses in it'. rubbing in what exactly, i dont know. also shes tried it on with my DH once in front of his fam and me and her DH....disgraceful! and i was expected to keep quiet (which i did).

Im the same as u, reserved and keep myself to myself, have manners etc, shes the opposite. :o so i completely understand what ur dealing with. its difficult but we just gotta put up with it and bite our tongues i spose. maybe she wont stick around long? im stuck with mine now - shes family ! *sigh* xx

How many days do you normally last - I thought you could test 11dpo? Might be me getting my days muddled though!!

I think this must be really common with in laws - My SIL also has a real problem with me but is my DH sister so I have put it down to jealousy with us having our own place and a bit more cash than them??
