    Hello everyone, I'm back! :)

I did actually start typing a post yesterday, then I got a phone call which needed urgent action so I didn't finish it, then had to rush off and catch a train to london. Stayed overnight, and am home again now.

Not much to report here...CD17 and don't know if I've ov'd or not. Had a tiny bit of EWCM yesterday evening, but not much. My temperature has jumped up a bit compared to yesterday, but yesterday I stupidly forgot to take my temp until after I'd got up to go to the loo, so that result was probably erroneous anyway. I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if it goes up again. We BD'd this morning, yesterday and twice the day before, but now DH is away until sunday. :o

Since coming off the pill I am getting spotty. Have any of you noticed the same thing??

YES! I never ever got spots as a teenager, but now I seem to be getting loads! Particularly (i think) around AF and ov.

when I was done it came up with 'thanks for donating your donation has paid for two igloos for elderly cats to sleep in!' quite appropriate for an 80th and even more when you think his mog lives in the airing cupboard!!

Awwwwww :) That's cute, bet your grandad loved that idea!

Hope you're feeling a bit more cheery now Smash, it's nearly the weekend after all! :j

Right, better get a few hours work done before heading off to the gym. (Having said that, I can still barely work after my mega workout on wednesday...!)

  • That's brilliant euro. I might steal that.

I get asked all the time, even before I met hubby! It seems the done thing in my family to have babies young, so it seems my patents would prefer that I'd chosen my sister's route and got knocked up by nameless bloke in a club toilet than not have any at my age.

Truth is my biological clock has been going at ninety for years, but I didn't want to do it alone. Meeting hubby took longer than expected then we wanted to buy a house, then we decided to get married and postpone ttc until after that, then my career and so on. It was getting to the stage where seeing babies felt like I was being stabbed in the heart. Then I came off the pill but we're still not really trying until I get some test results and now I worry that we left it too late. Does that sound stupid?

was thinking about getting rubella jags done too?? never got them done before TTC. anyone know anything about this... like who do you get the appt with, how long after the jags can you TTC & are they necessary?
Good idea:cool: It says no ttc for 4 weeks after the vaccine:
    http://www.vaccineinformation.org/rubella/qandavax.asp
pregnancy should be avoided for four weeks following vaccination with MMR.

OH and I aren't married either, still doesn't stop people asking us all the time. His boss even said to him 'you should get started soon, you don't want to miss out' and OH, in his usual blunt way, replied that he will as soon as they pull their finger out and give him a local contract! Ha ha
    Good answer:cool:
You know the slim bit anyway - that's cheating lol! But I do have dark hair and can be quite girly I suppose. You really do know everything, it's quite amazing.
    Lucky guess:D
Oooh exciting. Wish I knew that sort of stuff so far in advance.
Costs £70:D (£35 for the consultation £35 for the scan).
I just say I think it will be a while before we have any - which is true.
    It'll take 9 months at least:o

I am not quite sure if the vino last night was real or not (no hangover but very empty bottle!!) as I woke this morning in a lovely mood, have cleaned the windows (hubby will die off with shock as I have never cleaned them, thats his job!) tidied the house and generally set about the spring clean!!/QUOTE]

    Seems I missed your post:

Is temping and or OPKs worth the hassle for those of us on mental cycles?
It's good idea to get the hang of your cycles before ttc, as then you know what to expect when under ttc stress:o

I checked cm since my teens to calculate when I'll get AF, was accurate every time:cool:

I started temping and OPKs after I started ttc, so I'll know when I ov without checking cm, since semen are so like cm, it's difficult to differentiate:o
Your thingy sounds ok QQ, but I'm not sure if I should be there. You lot are all putting way more effort into it that I am.
I've put you on the first page:)
I went onto ebay and bought some cheapy pg tests. They're just the little strip things so do I make my wees into a cup?
I used to use those plastic cups you can throw away after few uses:cool:
Now I pee directly since my aim is perfect. Pee on it for full 10 sec, covering all angles:cool:
The thing is, I was in the supermarket last month and the woman in front of me bought a test and the guy ringing her stuff through the checkout looked at it and started asking her why she needed two in a pack and it wasn't like she would fail it. The woman in front (late 20s, engagement ring) was bright red and looked like she wanted to die, so I don't want to buy any tests there and there isn't really anywhere else except the shop near my office and it's always full of my colleagues.
    Insensitive guy:naughty:
    I never had that, ever:o

It's good idea to get those internet cheapys if you know you'll be testing before AF:p (or have irregular cycles). It won't break the bank, and feel a lot less guilty when you test way too early:D

You should use the supermarket own brand ones after you get a line on IC hpts, and use digital ones after that to see how far gone you are:T

Hey all, had a massive reality check earlier. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in getting pregnant, I seem to forget that I am blessed with a happy, healthy little boy.:o Took him out earlier and he slipped my hand and went running off, he tripped and went flying and smashed all his face up on some cobbles. Poor little mite bled everywhere and screamed the street down!!:(
So, Im just going to chill a bit and try to remember that I am so so lucky to have him and that life is precious, but also so fragile.... I really need to cherish him, as he's already here and if I am to have no more, I dont want to regret not spending enough time with him just because I was so wrapped up in ttc!!:o

    Love to all xx:p

hey ladies, i'm back from work just wandering online before going off this afternoon. was training one of our guys at work and he decided to give me a palm reading, nothing about babies but some very accurate stuff so who knows!
he did say though that by relaxing and remembering how lucky i am with my life compared to others and things will happen.
