Trying for a Baby Part Six

Glad it arrived madbird.
I'm CD26 today I've had cycles from 24-32 days now - and to think I used to be a regular 28!0 -
Hi all,
I'm looking for some advice/reassurance really. I posted earlier in week about how I don't think I have OV last last couple of months. Anyhow this morning I had some discharge that made me think otherwise. So tonight I did a OV test and it had a positive result. Problem is I am on CD26 (my cycle is approx 35 days long). I had been testing all last week (around CD18 which is what it says for a 35 day cycle). Has anyone heard of ovulation happening this late?
Thanks xxx
I did OV as late as CD21 on a 28 cycle so it isn't text book. After doing a bit of vit B taking (only 1 month) it did eventually move to CD15 but it took a few months to creep down.
DebMc, my cbfm would sometimes do low, high, peak, peak. I don't think other than peak, peak, low it has patterns and definite number of highs. It's based on womens hormones remember!0 -

Alcohol/cigarettes/caffeine during ttc & early pregnancy?
A bit is fine, but it's really not good for the egg as well as sperm. I've been tee total/caffeine free for a looong time now:D
As for DH, the one with sperm problem can't stop drinking of course, even after the fertility doctor said so:mad:I can't join team sticky as I foolishy panic bought conceive+ instead which is carp. I trying to use it up quickly so I can justify buying preseed instead! So tonight I did a OV test and it had a positive result. Problem is I am on CD26 (my cycle is approx 35 days long). Why wouldn't you eat ice cream??? Is there a reason behind that??
I had read that ice cream has uncooked egg in it which can be harmful to foetus when pregnant. Same as mayonnaise etc.Hi WW, it's just personal preference. I'm used to Liquid Silk which comes in a pump dispenser and is fairly gloopy and last for ages. With the conceive+ I find it like water, it somes puring out the tube and goes everywhere but where we want it! Also, like water, it doesn't seem to last very long. I'm hoping it's doing it's job though
I thought it was just mr whippy ice cream from a van that they advise against, everything else is fair game!
I'll have to do more research on the ice cream front, I'll be pleased if it is just Mr Whippy because that stuff is vile imposter ice cream and I couldn't face eating it at the best of times
I liked the conceive plus because it wasn't gloopy, I find all other lube too thick. I was thinking of still using the conceive plus after I conceiveI agree it comes pouring out the tube tho and goes everywhere!

I gave up smoking 5 years ago next month, caffeine I gave up 3 months ago, and I'm tee total after ov day but not before, although I have cut down my alcohol intake.
My DH has drinks caffeine free, unless he buys coffee when out, like at Starbucks or McDonalds etc which I really don't understand. He isn't tee total though and I think that would be the last straw on the ttc front if I tried to suggest it, but he doesn't drink a lot.
I'm off to the Docs for my 21 day blood test today, although it is only day 20, that is a close as we can get due to going on hols today. I went back to the Docs on Wednesday night to ask about the 21 day test, as last time the GP had said to me it was 21 days from the last day of your period, but I didn't think this was right and you guys and internet research said 21 days from 1st day of period. Turns out we were right and GP was wrong  Which frankly I find a tad scarey!!
Anyway when I went back I saw a lovely Doctor who gave me the correct info. She also said that since I would be 37 at the end of the year and would have been ttc for over 6 months then, if we haven't been successful by then she wants me to go back and to refer us for further tests. The other GP had said they wouldn't do that until we had been ttc for at least a year
So I felt a bit better after that, although obviously I am hoping I won't need further tests!! I haven't told DH yet as I find it works better if I just tell him the bits he needs to know when he needs to know them. I'm not entirely sure how he is going to feel about it if he needs to give a sample or two. I think his reaction might be along the lines of :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
So 6 or 7 dpo today and have got PMT, also got achey heavy feeling just above pubic bone, sore (.)(.)s, I'm constipated, my nails are all flaking and have got a face full of zits - all signs of AFI've been like this since 1 or 2 dpo. I've had bad sciatica all week and haven't taken any painkillers just in case there is a slim chance that I am pg and if AF shows up next weekend I am going to be really hacked off!
So anyway, next time I post will probably be testing day for me (unless AF has the guts to show her face before then) so wish me luck!

I read that it's a myth that you ov 14 days into your cycle - but that you always ov 14 days before your next cycle *confused*
Well DH has seen that some money is marked off in the bank but hasn't queried it so I'm keeping my mush shut! Will just casually mention it when it arrives!
Edit: Good luck WW! Got my fingers crossed for youSealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -

Careful thems fighting words ladyI love Mr Whippy, I was horrified when I was told I'd have to avoid!

Yeah, it kinda ruined the mood the first time I opened it and made a massive wet patch on the bed before we'd even begun :rotfl:
CD1 for me, at least it's stopped teasing. Got my fake smile plastered on, it's Friday through and I can have a drink tonight.0 -
Which CD are you all going to test Preseed?
My preseed was only despatched yesterday and delivery estimate is the 15th! Seen as my cycles are so hugly long I wont be using it till CD20 i'd think. I'm going to start doing OV strips from about CD15 i think to try and catch the egg this month!Wonder_Womble wrote: »I had read that ice cream has uncooked egg in it which can be harmful to foetus when pregnant. I think its only non pasturised stuff you need to worry about ie mcdonalds. I seem to remember that from my last pregnancy, I was very good and ate nothing wrong at all.
Heres a quote from the eat well websiteMayonnaise, ice cream, salad dressing - as long as they haven't been made using raw egg. Generally, mayonnaise, ice cream and salad dressing you buy in shops will have been made with pasteurised egg, which means it's safe to eat. But it's better to avoid home-made versions if they contain raw egg. If you're not sure about any of these foods when you're eating out, ask staff for more information
CD6 for me, have been very good remembering to take temps every morning. The only thing i'm finding strange is, I'm a rubbish sleeper and wake up frequently during the night. It always puts me into a stress when I wake up because I think oh no now I'm not going to have 3 hours of continued sleep before i take my temp!! Does anyone else have this problem?
I wrote a huge reply on my phone then lost it when i tried to submit it
Had a bad few days, OH has been being a stroppy pig  He is the most stubborn person I have ever met in my life. He is trying to suck up my bum now though but i'm finding it hard to forget how horrible he's been these last few days.
Was waiting on a parcel being collected yesterday, I had arranged collection for between 11.30 and 2.30pm and I stayed in the whole day planning to go out in the afternoon and they didn't show up at all. I am so angry. Its my friends 40th on sunday and her birthday presents are in it so now they are going to be late  Have had to book it in again now for today, if they don't show up again today I may actually kill someone
Bring on preseed time!!!0 -
Wonder Womble, you are SSing
6 or 7 DPO is too early for symptoms except for possible implantation;)
Good luck on your blood test today:)
pinkpig08, you ov 10-16days before AF. I think the average is 14 days (mine is) but it differs a lot person to person.
Perdi
Greener Grass, Amazon usually exaggerate their delivery dates. It usually comes a lot sooner;)
Sorry about your parcel, and your OH, but keep your OH happy until ov:D0
