  • Hello I was just wondering if I could join. Not very clued up on this TTC malarkey and you gals seem like a helpful friendly bunch :o

We aren't exactly TTC, we thought to begin with we'd just go with the flow as I had been on Depo Provera injection and we knew it could take a while for it to work its way out of my system. So basically we just aren't actively trying not to conceive IYSWIM? Now though I think I am working my way into some sort of a regular cycle so think we might be able to plan a bit more.

The witch is playing with me this month..! I thought I started yesterday *TMI ALERT* but I've not had much, only a little bit. The last time this happened in December, it was followed by a very short cycle (12 days) and then AF so, it may just be a sit and wait game for me. Will continue to BD just in case ;)Anyone have any ideas why I'm only having light AF potentially followed by a random short cycle?!?
Hmmm... Could it be mid cycle spotting and not AF?
    Low progesterone could do that.

Following my cycle question, here's my cycle lengths since August:
    13, 22, 21, 12, 22, 20, 12, 30, 23
Any ideas? Maybe I should start using opks...?
Any cycle over 21 days is normal, so I'd say some are normal.
As for those 13/12 day ones, I wonder if it was not AF but a mid cycle spotting?

    Which ones were light AF?
Can you group it like this?

    13, 22, 21+12, 22, 20+12, 30, 23?
    QQ have you poas yet???
I did consider it:D But no, not at 9DPO:naughty:

Thanks for the welcome. I'm not sure about ewcm. I think I have but I'm not 100% sure on what I'm looking for (sorry I'm so useless, this is all so new to me- they must have started teaching this stuff at school after I left- would explain why all the 16 year olds are pg! :p)
  • Hi I'd like to join you all too please.

Quick run down of our situation. At some point this year I'd like to be pregnant. OH has just been put in 3 month notice of redundancy and that 3 months he will be in Bulgaria :(. We are looking for work as we speak in another country somewhere in the world so will try seriously once a position has been secured. In the meantime I am testing for ovulation with the sticks just so when we are ready jobwise we will have more of an idea when the best TTC is.

This is the 5th day of testing and I have just had a faint line so I expect it to happen in the next day or so which will make it 15 or 16 days after the 1st day of my last P. Just need to know now how long my luteal phase is. Am I right in thinking that the luteal phase is always the same, it is just the days before hand that can vary?

  • Hi Girls,

I’ve been away for a month so haven’t been able to read the forum. I’ve just spent the last few days catching up and am now ready to let you guys know what has been going on in Mrs Excited’s TTC world.

Firstly I just wanna say a big congratulations to all the BFPs that happened over the last 4 weeks. I’m so happy for all you guys.

Secondly big hugs to all those caught by AF. Xxx

Anyway, to recap on my TTC journey.

I took my last pill on Christmas Eve, I had a withdrawal bleed as normal. DH and I bd’d everyday (!) since the end of the bleed! Weirdly I just felt like it, maybe coming off the pill has reawakened my libido!?

I was doing OPKs but didn’t take them on holiday with me. I tested up until day 15 and didn’t even have a whiff of a positive. However I was getting a bit of creamy CM (but not much). On CD16 or 17 I had some EWCM (but only once and TMI – I only noticed it after doing a poo).

I started my period whilst I was away giving me a 31 day cycle this time. AF was kind to me and the bleeding was quite light. I was disappointed but not as much as I thought I’d be. I’m actually relieved that I got AF back after 12 years of the pill.

So now I’m on CD10(31) and feeling positive. We’ve BD’d everyday (for fun!). I haven’t started the OPKs yet. I will start tomorrow.

I am still very excited and enjoying the process although all of the waiting is doing my head in!

    Love to you all
    Mrs Excited

    Hi and welcome trixietoes:wave:
Luteal phase is usually the same +-2 days.
    Mine's between 13-15days:)

Would both you & Trinity like to be on the list on the first page?
If you could tell me how you'd like I'll put it up:)

It's this format: trixietoes (age?) TTC#1 since 02/11

You seem to be doing great!:j
You are right, after poo is the best time to see ewcm:o

    Good luck!

Maybe not just yet for me as we will have to hold off for a month or two as OH & I aren't in the same country so no BFP's will be on the horizon yet :rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks though, I'll pop you a message when I do. x
