Trying for a Baby Part Six

hi ladies

hope it's ok if i join you again.

quick background for anyone who doesnt know:

came off the pill at end of may after 12 years, got bfp in september and had mc in november.

everything is back to normal now, just tried a hpt and got bfn (which is a good thing as it means all hormones are out of my system) and had first bd with dh today(maybe tmi!!). we are using condoms as i have booked a holiday in feb and don't want to be pg as we are off to vegas where we got married a couple of years ago! being pg in vegas might spoil it a bit as it's smoky in the casinos and there's too much fun to be had - not to mention the long flight prob isn;t a good idea if pg! i booked the holiday as a treat for us following the mc.

i am currently waiting for my first af to show up then i can have an idea of cycles etc ready for ttc in feb/mar. depending on how the cycles fall i will ttc before i go on holiday if the timing seems ok. it would work out perfect if i could concieve just before i go or while i am on holiday. life doesn;t always work the way you want though does it!?

i am looking to the future with a positive outlook. onwards and upwards!!

Hi pebblespop. Sorry for your loss. Never sure what to say next so I'll just say what I'm thinking - welcome back but I wish you didn't have to be here! I went to Vegas in feb this year and loved it, even though I didn't think I would. Hope you have an amazing time and sounds like a great thing to look forward to.

debs - fingers crossed you've got a BFP waiting in the wings there - mine happened just as I got my puppy too........ Re: Connor, you should take him to puppy classes as soon as possible so he gets used to other dogs etc. Worked a treat with Molly - every dog is her friend these days

skintchick & tinksy - sorry AF showed up. BFP first month of 2011? Great start for the year.

Me? Well, BDed on CD8 and 9 so far. This week is the big week. DH has been asking when is good so hopefully we'll get some in amongst wrapping the Xmas presents (!) Tues-Fri. :eek:

Well, AF showed up at last on Sat morning, but has been very, very, very light. Unusually so. And appeared so late that I already started my new pill pack this morning. That's not good is it? 2 days of barely anything?

Just to tease myself, I dreamt that I POAS and it was positive! lol

Pebbles, thats fine. We can do it together! (as it were). We arent technically trying to till have first AF either, but hey ho.

On a bummer note, ive started bleeding again! Called EPU its normal as hormones now at 335 so still have some to lose. Im a bit sad as I thought it was all done now. Hey ho.

thank u hon, am afraid she showed up this morning! CD1.
tempted to try again straight away next month but I should wait for the new hosp appointment date. i am feeling compelled to have a baba though... very tempted to just try again

I dreamt of my BFP 2 weeks before I got the real thing.....

Maybe it was. Maybe it's just my mind playing out what I want to see.

Either way, my period should not be that light and is something I prob need to discuss with doc. May have to come off pill for a while anyway so that they can go back to normal.

Am tempted to POAS tonight anyway as the first question will be 'Are you sure you're not pregnant?'. I expect it will be negative though and then I'll be annoyed at myself for letting my imagination run wild.

Dream was quite funny as I POAS, came back into bedroom, and got back into bed to wait for the result! You know, as you do. And it didn't look like the tests I'm used to. It had a cross for positive (I've only ever used the ones with two lines before, ie, 2 lines = pregnant and 1 line = not.

Ah well, gotta try and find something suitable for Christmas dinner tonight anyway. Our food shopping was delivered on Sat but they had run out of the nice piece of Beef we had selected.
