Morning ladies... coming out of lurking the last week or so.

Hugs to all and lots of SBDTA - hopefully something is in the air as my cousins have just let us know that they're expecting twins after almost 3 years of TTC. Very happy for them as her MIL was being a witch about their efforts. Hopefully all will go well for us when its our turn.

Feeling zapped out by my own witch's visit (and bad day at work) - cd4 post first AF after pill after a 27 day cycle - happy that all seems to be back to normal though I haven't missed the heavy flow of a real AF. Am really thankful that I haven't had to wait long for that first one though am conscious that it might not be regular on the next - 2ww is going to be torture until my cycles get established - must resist poas when time comes.

Thermometer and opk sticks have now been ordered - I'm a bit of spreadsheet geek so am looking forward to getting to grips with it all and learning what's normal for me.

We're postponing proper TTC for this month as DH is still under the weather (and its party season :D). He's got a consultant's appointment today which will hopefully rule out lots of things and put his mind at rest (he's a bit of a hypochondriac but also suffers with nasty panic attacks related to whatever the underlying problem is)

hopefully once he's feeling better we can get going in the new year :j

Can't wait to meet you now baby!

Can it take that long? And I assume you're not really fertile until they return? Is that right?

not sure about what's normal but you can get BFP even on the pill so don't take anything for granted - at least if you're on this thread it's likely to be wanted...

MrsR... have you tried testing? - we need another Nov positive to chear us all up...

Trust me, I know the pill isn't 100%.

It's a bit confusing really. There is a small chance of getting pregnant whilst on the pill, and you're advised to take precautions if you missed a pill (or was sick etc), but at the same time, your body can take a while to get back to normal.

Even if we fell pregnant now, it would most definitely be wanted....and kept, but, if possible, we'd rather have the extra year to get rid of the debt first.

Good luck to all those who are testing soon!

  • (((HUGS))) to those of you who need it, especially Redwood and Lauralou. Look after yourselves ladies.

I have really got my hopes up this month and am in for a MASSIVE fall and disappointment if I am not pg. I am madly SSing. I am going to test tomorrow morning which is a couple of days before AF is due but am out with some drinking buddies tomorrow night.

On non TTC matters I am going to test drive a new car tomorrow! :j I have had my car for 8 years but there are major things that are shortly going to go wrong so think it is the time to get a new car. I am soooooo excited about it. I have decided on a new Fiesta (5 door obviously for baby access!!).

Will update you tomorrow, keep everything except your legs crossed for me xx
  • Good luck with testing tomorrow GEG :) Fingers crossed for you!:j

CD41 here, 14 dpo which is 3 days longer than last cycle:eek: Ironically i have no tests left except CB digi's which i'm not using unless i'm positive AF is not coming. I think this is probably the hardest part for me, i feel so close but yet so far, fully expecting AF to arrive today, not sure how i'll feel if i make it till tomorrow! It is rather cruel of her to keep me waiting so long if she's coming though!
  • afternoon ladies.

big massive hugs to everyone that needs them :grouphug:

and welcome to any newbies :hello:

well for me, ov seems to be on it's way, i started feeling sick this morning so that's a big but unpleasant sign it's going to happen in a few days time. TMI, also got a bit of ewcm, didn't have any last cycle so this is big news for me _party_ so i'm planning on jumping the hubby later  my new opk's are on their way and the preseed is on stand by!!!! i'm feeling quietly optimistic this cycle. :D

    Hi Ladies,
Sorry for those that the witch has got.
Did a pg test yesterday and still showing positive, I must be the only one who wants it to go negative, so that I can get my body back to normal and start trying again, also the only one who wants AF to appear, it will be 14 days tomorrow. The test isnt as strong as it was so looks like the hormones are starting to go down. I get the green light to start BDIng tomomorrow, scared that it might be painfull etc. POAS faint line on an opk, but guess thats the pregnancy hormomes, dont know if I should keep POAS to see if I ovulate soon.
    Pawpurrs x ;)
