YEAH Smlsave!!! :j Congrats! So excited for you!! How are you feeling?!? Any 'symptoms' to tell?!? Give us the info! :D (If you feel comfortable with that, of course!!)

:o No systoms other than normal leading up to AF ones i.e. tender bre*sts. We hadn't really even BD'd much as we'd been too busy!

Thanks for the bright and cheerful BFP QQ :)
What do you do after BD..? :p I've always needed a wee after BD, couldn't possibly hold it; I would burst!!
personally dont go to the toilet i just lie there and boyfriend brings me some tissue (too much info i know)

I do both the above :) TMI alert - I find a full bladder makes BD more intense (no accidents yet)
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck :)

i always need to go after BDing but i try to hold it in as long as possible.
My desperate for a grandchild nearer to her Mum has told me i am not allowed to go for at least an hour afterwards(im not sure whether to feel embarassed when my mum tells me things like that as she says it so matter of factly)

    Congrats smlsave!:j

You need to de-stress to ov:p
Looks like I'll never OV again then :o

Anyway, my temp started dropping, and I think I saw a bit of spotting too...
Fingers crossed that it was implantation bleed!

I was upset he did it on his own as he always wants to see what I'm doing! He says it was really easy no funnels just a cup and pippette there's a solution u add and it's more like a dulux chart waiting on the colour to change!!  it was good and u can re-test in a week or so!

I wish I could get my OH to do the sample for the hospital. The pot has been sitting there for a month now :( If he did have low sperm count at least we would be referred now rather than next year.

    Afternoon ladies!
On a lighter note - After BD last night, went to the loo for a wee and on my way back to bed, hubby said - "Do you think it's a good idea that you go to the loo after BD? Won't it all come out?!?" :rotfl::rotfl: Which brings me onto seriousness.... - What do you do after BD..? :pI've always needed a wee after BD, couldn't possibly hold it; I would burst!!

i personally dont go to the toilet i just lie there and boyfriend brings me some tissue (too much info i know) :D
me and boyf had this discussion the other night after BDing i just said i dont want gravity to take effect and he just laughed at me saying that he'd only want the good swimmers to survive anyway so he didnt think it mattered going to the toilet - not that id go for a wee anyway cos usually ive just been before

I always make sure I wee before DTD then I lie on my back for an hour with my legs in the air. It hasn't worked yet tho.

CD15 for me and I'm off to do an opk.

Visions of WonderWomble with her legs in the air, going numb after blood loss! :rotfl: The things we do to get pg; and all DH has to do is enjoy it (for all of three minutes) :p

I knew there must have been a reason for the automatic wee QQ

You ladies really make me smile, thanks :D

Not sure ifI am BDing tonight; hubby gone to footie and won't be back til 9 for dinner. Maybe a quickie before bed is in order? He will think it's Christmas with all this BDing :rotfl:

Okay Ladys last random question about these opks (i knew I shouldnt have ordered them really)

So ive got from CD8 to Cd13 all lined up.
Cd11 test 1 has a faint line Cd 11 test 2 has a slightly darker line
Cd 12 has a line the same shade as CD11 Test 1 - However none of the lines are anywhere near as dark as the control line??? Which means negative??? which makes me think !!!!!! is going on - All other days Ive just had the control line....
Cd13 (today) just the control line.....
So i refer back to the leaflet - based on my average of 31 or 33 I cant remember now what it was but the table says I shouldnt really be testing until tomorrow (CD14??)????
So given that the lines on CD11 and CD12 where lighter than the control line and it was just two days do I carry on piac and testing or scrap it all off and have some good old fashioned bding next week without freaking him out by piac :|

I seriously dont know how you are all coping with this being a proper ttc ... I know that sounds bad but im a stresshead as it is.... I know what I mean and I hope someone else gets my drift slightly --- shall try and reword it in a bit ....

    Reading back
    Congrats Smlsave
DTD - erm it depends sometimes Im dying for a wee and have to go other times its a cuddle up to oh jobby.... does anyone do the pillow under bum thing they recommend???

I may or maynot be wrapping some Christmas presents right now.

QQ - any ss?? How are you my lovely?
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

    Thank you :)

I do have a quick question. I have a good friend who is unable to conceive and another who is having a hard time. While it's going to be a while before I tell them - how would you go about it? I don't want to upset them

Having been there recently (as in the friend who hasn't been able to conceive and having the BF telling her she was PG) don't hide it from either of them.

It wasn't the fact that she told me, it was the fact I asked some time to deal with it (I was devastated - I cried on the bus on the way to work) she text me 2 days later and when I didn't respond, she went off on one at me. Called me selfish and basically said she felt I was blaming her etc etc.

Long story short - she thinks everything is OK now, I don't think I can ever forgive her for being so insensitive towards my feelings when she has everything she wants and couldn't give me a bit of time to get my head round it. My world ended when she told me they'd accidentally fallen PG with their third when we'd been trying 15 cycles (now 19) and nothing.

Anyway, what i'm trying to say is, expect her/them to take it badly and don't push them to talk about it. If I'd been left to process the information, I firmly believe i'd have got over it by now. As it is, I think i've lost the best friend I ever had because she just doesn't understand me and how much I was/am hurting.

    Good luck.

    SK x

my OH has told my parents and his that we're trying. Wish he hadn't though cos constantly being asked what's happening by his thoughtless sisters. One (who it apparently turns out doesn't like me because i don't ring her all the time to talk) told me the reason i wasn't pregnant was of course because i was too fat! that comes from a 40 year old virgin who still lives upstairs in her parents house and has only worked 6 months in her life. Sorry don't mean to offend but she really hurt me she was so insensitive. I've told OH that i don't want his family knowing we have medical problems at the moment as i'm sure i would just get more grief from them.

Evening all! Just a quicky as way past my bedtime. Debs re periods-mine got really heavy and had flooding, clots etc. Went to my fab female doc who referred me for a scan to see if all ok. She then said I could have some tablets to help. Something acid. Google heavy periods and should find it. It doesn't effect TTC:)! Anyway periods got lighter scan was ok so didn't bother with medication. She said to me don't suffer there is no need to. Xx
:heart2:Baby boy madbird arrived 15/06/11 by emergency csection weighing 9lb 13oz:eek: love him so much xx:heart2:
  • Phunkles - just a little from my experience wiht OPK's. You're doing the right thing, keep testing daily and you WILL see that posetive. It sounds like your body was gearing up to ov but didn't do it, I found this happend to me a few times through my cycle, each time was approx 7 days apart. So you should find that you get your posetive soon. Keep marking them up so you can put them alongside each other and when it comes you'll know its posetive straight away. I kept getting lines which wern't as dark as the control line and thinking I was ov'ing, when I finally got my poseitve it was obvious and really strong compared to what I had thought were posetive. When do you test? I found my darkest to be FMU, I'd do a test every morning and every pm. GL x

Am off to bed now preying that my temp goes up tomorrow, been having a few tightenings in my tummy tonight but no signs of af, hope she keep her ugly head away tonight :) night all
