Welcome twigpig!
I just joined the thread yesterday as well. I am using the CBFM for the first time this month. We haven't been trying at all since I had a MC in April. That was a happy accident in the first place but when we lost it, it made us realise just how much we wanted it!
Anyway, I know just what you mean about the crushing feeling. Last week 4 of my friends told me they were pregnant!!
Can I ask you girls a few questions about the CBFM?
I am on CD 4 today so just at the beginning.
When exactly should you do the deed? When you get highs and definitely when you get a peak?
Does it matter that you get the peak in the morning but you can't have sex until the evening??
Thanks0 -
It is recommended to BD every other day on High, and every day on Peak. It doesn't have to be morning or evening:)
Oh, before you POAS, there's two sides to the CBFM stick, shiny non-absorbent side and an absorbent side;)0 -
Welcome to newbies, hope your stay here is short
Hugs to Lemon Tree, Hope next month is much better and you get some good results from the doctors!!
I'm feeling a bit rubbish. I put my chart up on FF forums for some advice and someone there seems to think i didn't OV yet  My head is so messed up now! Surely my cycle can't be any longer than 42 days!! I give up!0 -
I think jcs is getting confused - poas is using an OPK - not a pregnancy test!0

Hey All
Hope we have some lovely OV's going on very soon
Im feeling mega positive now that OH is completely on board and understands how i was (and am) feeling
But, just so i get it right (and because i cant tell anyone in the real world) am i right in saying:
First day of AF is Day one of cycle?
Most people OV between 10 and 14 days
Testing is 21 days after OV (whic would be approx 7 days after period is due)
Is that right ............................0 -
Spot on Puzzbubs but you'd be a martyr not to test sooner! I did at 8 and 10 dpo! My OV did start later when I first started monitoring but I think it was day 15 by the time I got PG. It just depends on your body.
Getting in to knicker checking for discharge (sorry TMI) is a good way of knowing when your body is ovulating and feeling the pains that come with it too....usually down one side of the tummy area.
Joining this is a good idea but ask one of the ladies on here to recommend you then you both get VIP membership free for a time. http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ Good luck!0 -

I thought POAS meant - Pee On A Stick.
So it could be used regardless of the stick you peed on? :rotfl:0 -
so did i. which is why i coulnd't understand why peeps were peeing on a stick if not testing for pregancy.
i didn't know you pee'd on a stick for a fertility monitor thingy.
you can tell i've so much still to learn.0 -
Lemon Tree
How long was your last cycle?
Did you ov ok?
Hi Cycle was 29 days, don't think i ovulated.
Had 2 natural bleed free days, but then it all started up again, ended up taking medication to stop it whilst on holiday, Noretherstone or something like that.
will def take my temps this month.0 -
evening ladies
ordered my new thermometer today, it comes with 10 opk's, hadn't intending on using those but i'll have some i might as well. are they easy to understand?
while i was ordering that, the oh asked if i was going to get some pre-seed as well, as he liked the sound of it! so can i be on team sticky when we start properly in a week or so?
i don't think i've ever wanted af to start so much in my life, also sure it'll be the last time i'm looking forward to getting it as well:(0
