If you don't mind the oversharing, sometimes OH loses momentum. I think it's if he gets over stimulated or not enough, or something. Last time it was the tv on in the background distracting him. In those instances I oh gosh I can't believe I'm writing this, offer to erm use other means and if he agrees he lets me know when close and we get back 'in position'. Requires timing though!
Now I've suitably embarrassed myself and everyone I shall leave lol0 -
Welcome jcr

Hi from a male perspective I would be feeling pressure every time even if it was for love making and not baby making.
We have just been through all this - all the tests etc and it was my OH who had her tubes blocked. She then had to have them taken out which meant our only option was fertility treatment.
There was a seven to eight month waiting list, which we decided was too long so asked what the waiting list was if we paid for the treatment.
Guess what we could start the treatment the following month. After a loan from her parents of 2K and OH selling her prized posession of a motorbike we had the 4K.
The treatment and drugs literally hospitalised OH for 2-3 weeks but it also meant that we found out straight away that it had amazingly worked 1st time.
I forgot to say that we had the choice of one or two eggs but due to her age they suggested two. Again guess what - IT WAS TWINS
They are now in the world weighing 5-3 and 6-7 so anyone reading this and going through the same always believe that it will happen:beer:Year 2019 (1,700/£17000mortgage repayment)Overall mortgage (71,400/165568) (44

thankyou. bit of history.
fell for our first after a yr was on pill, then sadly lost. took 3 months to fall for dd. took a month to fall for ds after stopping pill. then went onto depo jab and took 18months to fall for ds. i then went on evra patch and it worked well, until had a reaction, but changed to another pill, but had to change as suffered from another suspected m/c . and now just come off a diff pill. so i don't think i'll be falling quickly as i been on so many diff ones in last 2 years. but who knows.0 -
congratulations to madbird and mrs white!
i can't wait to start trying in a couple of weeks, i may have even convinced hubby to try pre-seed on our first go - having just come off the pill i'm not sure what cm is like - not planning on telling him how much it costs though!0 -

Ooooh, what did you watch? OH and i ended up spending all evening fixing a leak at the inlaws, randomly my mother in law to be is very lovely - im one of the lucky ones i think
I would hate to be away from OH so much, it shows how strong you are! I find it hard enough being away from him in the week knowin that im going home on the weekend.
Not really had much chance to talk to OH about TTC apart from telling him the basics, negativity has been held at bay so far since he has been home.

QQ i so know what you're going through as i go through the same with my OH a lot of the time.
This will sound like a silly question but do you and your OH like garlic? i watched a program which had men on it that had 'problems' and they chewed 3 raw cloves of garlic daily and apart from one man the rest all found that their problems dissapeared or vastly reduced. Obviously it would take commitment to eat raw garlic every day but maybe you could try the odourless garlic tablets. I'm trying to get my OH to take them at the moment but he doesn't like taking tablets so it's an uphill battle.0 -
Tonight - All I want for Christmas (I cried) Home Alone and now just put on Home Alone 2 (im expecting to cry again)
Truthfully I hate it its been 6 days so far and its been hard - not helped by me working and his work being mad the last few days - wedding on a Thursday anyone - so hes been busy prepping for that and making pretty wedding cakes (and sending me pics) me does think hes got some sort of wedding broodiness going on. Normally though on a normal day - we talk as were on our ways to work, text as often as we can, phone call when Im on my way home - he times a break to fit around this, texts again and then then online either msn or facebook chat
Did it have to be raw garlic lemontree???Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,

Am very tired but need a bowl of cheeriosSealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -
not sure phunkles but i think it was, i'm going to push OH a bit more to take the tablets though. I think garlic helps with blood flow if you know what i mean. It did take a while though. The program was something like 'Food myths' or sometime. I also remember the fact that eating hay gave you as much friendly bacteria as the yogurts if not more. I'm full of stupid information!0
