Afternoon all,

Happy holidays for all who are off travelling. May you all have a relaxing time.

I'll be looking out for spotting from tomorrow onwards as I'll be 6DPO, so hopefully will have some implantation bleeding.

Moon is on the cusp of buying a new Toyota Yaris, so we've been test-driving cars this morning, and hopefully we'll be back to normality in the next couple of days, as being a chaffeur all the time is getting a bit tiring. Still, he is making me cheese on toast for lunch, and has thanked me for taking him around everywhere, so at least I'm appreciated.

Hugs for all on CD1 who are fed up with the witch, and welcome to all of the newcomers to the thread - this is a really nice thread to be on for amazing facts about your body that you were completely unaware of before TTC, and for support if you're feeling low.

Have a lovely break. It'll be too early for me to get a BFP by the time you get back but will do my best for the end of the month

I hope it happens soon so I don't end up heavily pregnant through summer, I really feel for anyone pregnant in this heat! :eek:

What cycle day did you ov this time? Do you mind me asking how many Metformin tablets you take? I've been taking 2 but have been told to increase it to 3. I say that but for nearly a week I've not had any as I've run out of tablets and haven't had a chance to get to a chemist (I know - naughty, naughty). I'll be able to get some tomorrow though.

FF says CD58 this time (now on CD74) - so in theory I should have AF in the next 24hrs max, or a BFP *should* show by now...
I take 1 500mg (I think) Metformin twice daily with food (so usually 1 when I get up and 1 when I go to bed). I wondered about asking doc to up it to 3, but seeing as my GP was not particularly supportive of me going on it in the first place, I'm not convinced he'll agree... :cool:
You really need to get the prescription picked up Missy! It's supposed to take a couple of months to kick in, so give yourself a fighting chance

General question for anyone - what's the deal with CM? I've never really paid any attention but what's the different types of CM and what do they tell you i.e. about to ovulate / get AF?

I found a cracking pdf type set of photos of what each type of CM looks like...I'll dig out the link (I actually think it's saved on DHs phone! ) and post it when I can find it (either on his phone(!) or on t'interweb)

I keep saying I'm going to temp, do OPKs and maybe check CM with my next cycle but I guess there's no point waiting and I could just start it all now.

It's all about the head games FA. If it helps to chart - to help with feeling more in control or whatnot, then do it. But if it's just going to depress you if you don't see a pattern, or +ive OPK, or what have you, then save yourself the heartache. That's what I think anyway :cool:

Oh, and the stretcher it is, the more fertile it is, basically. Dryer CM is usually after ov/before AF and straight after AF before gearing up for ov.

Yep! When he first read about CM in the What to Expect book, I said something about "the thing you never needed to know about CM, hey?" and he replied with "well, apparently I did though!" He meant it too! ...guess that sets DH aside from 'the norm'

Hi Ladies
Had my smear test today hate those things!
Anyway...the nurse had a problem finding my cervix, eventually she found it but it took alot of time, she kept saying oh I can see the tip but need to see it all...will this cause me any problems TTC?
