Thanks everyone for the very warm welcome, I'm trying to catch up on who everyone is and what's going on! It's lovely to be here and I've read some very interesting and useful stuff. At the moment I'm trying to hold off testing cos if my last wee bleed was AF I should be due another, but as I had an implant for 3 1/2 years and was on the pill before that I have no idea what to expect cycle wise! I will be strong and wait another couple of days!

mrshappy, welcome! Would you like to be listed on the first page? It'll be something like:

mrshappy (age? not compulsory) TTC#1 since 07/11

Hope the tlp becomes a BFP:j

That would be great, thanks QQuaver, I'm an oldie at 38  and this will be #2 for me, #1 for hubby, I have a delightful 14 year old already! We have been trying since May11, thank you

We're off to slovakia...! random I know, but can't wait. Not sure what to expect but I'm sure we'll have fun!

((hugs)) for your OH, fannyanna, sounds nasty. Hope he's been sorted out by the hospital.

Oh jealous - are you going to Bratislava? Hubs and I wanna go there. Have fun x

And oh yeah, I forgot about this morning (great Wife eh :)). The doc at the hospital said everything is fine. I guess the GP overreacted a bit - but better to be safe than sorry.

Calling my fellow PCOSers - roughly how long are your cycles? Also what impact did Metformin have on your cycle length?

I'm on CD48 now :(. Ah well it's quite an improvment on 8 months :D
Dude this is CD73 for me(on metformin), last cycle was 57 (first on metformin), before that 69, 27, 29, 35 (the last 3 were the ones immediately following coming off the Marvelon pill).

IIRC QQ doesn't have PCOS the same as us, she has the PCO without the symptoms, so don't be disheartened that her cycles are shorter and she ovulates more. I'm afraid to say it, but you need to hang in there. Give the weight loss a chance, record what's not completely depressing to record (I'm thinking about giving temping a miss this cycle, and continual OPKs just depress me cos they NEVER show anything - but I might start using them a couple of times a day when I have fertile CM).

Don't lose heart. It WILL get better. I declare it! yes.gifth_gun2.gif

Bigzee - you weight loss is inspiational, well done xx
Thanks CB! :) I've still got a ways to go, but I feel better knowing I've dropped that PCOS recommended 10%....now for the Clomid level...(though having made such a concerted effort I doubt they'd withhold it now, iyswim?)
Decided to stop temping, opks dates etc and relax (who am I kidding eh!!!) Been to hospital today, got loads of blood forms for day4, 21 and 28 bloods, rubella antibodies (and something else). Also have to go for an x-ray once dye has been injected into my tubes:eek: eek!! DH also has to do another SA. We then go back in 4 months for all the results and an ultrasound of my ovaries. Oh, also has some swabs taken today to check for infections before the x-ray jobbie.....and breathe!!!
I feel like things are moving on so feel a bit more relaxed (even though I don't want to wait 4 whole months to get results!!!)
I think they'll contact you if there's anything to be concerned about in the mean time. Good luck with the tests though. And glad things are moving along thumbsup2.gif And don't forget that your GP often gets sent a copy of the results if you really can't wait ;)

Really sorry about my freak out earlier everyone :o I'm not going to say anymore about my pregnancy (except to offer advice to others) as this isn't the place.
    Hope I didn't offend anyone :o

    Have a great time! :)
Well, CD16 and looks like I still haven't ov'd :( I really thought I was going to, but my temp dropped again this eve and I don't have any ewcm... We've been at it like rabbits as well!! :rotlf:

It's been so hot today, hasn't it?! I've been so sweaty and horrible all day! Haven't been sleeping well either as keep waking up too hot, flinging the covers off then waking up again later too cold! :rotfl:
Maybe it's waiting for you to be relaxed on hols? Or maybe you're too cold coverless ;) If you've been at it like rabbits it sounds to me like your sex drive could've risen to coincide with ov, but you haven't seen the temp change or the ewcm cos of the heat (you need to drink more when it's hotter to produce enough ewcm). However, I think you should have even more relaxed BD on hols, just because ;)

norabatty, you should stop green tea after ov as it can cause mc.
I don't do green tea as it contains caffeine:o
countrybum, when you go for the tubes test, make sure you ask there and then if it looks OK or not. They sometimes let you know:) Same with ovary scan. Good luck.
kira, your baby looks like a baby now:happyhear
You really did prepare for TTC long time in advance:T
There's such a short fertile window, if one misses it, there's no chance:o
Oh, as for sausages, I've found some at Cold Storage, thanks:)
We have a big holiday planned, so can't eat out extravagantly at the mo, so haven't been to those lovely restaurants yet:o
Rebekah, :rotfl: at that cartoon strip:D
As for eggs, mine were clinically certified dodgy by looking at my actual eggs via IVF:cool:
    skintchick, is it TTC#2?
As for early scanning, I had one at 5, 7, 9 weeks but baby died at 10:o
As for my foreplay, it's the same here too:D
That usually comes if DH seems to have forgotten the 'got Peak on CBFM dear' in the morning:o
    BB1984, have a great time in Slovakia:wave:
emsbet, keep us posted on how you are doing though, especially when it's quiet. We need some distraction:D
mrshappy, 38 is not old:) Hope you'll catch the eggy soon:cool:
Did it take long to get pg on your 1st baby?
fannyanna, glad your DH is fine:)
Bigzee, you are right, my PCO is a bit different:o
My sister also have PCO(S?), her cycles are about 30, 31 days.
I also only use OPKs when I have fertile cm:)

    Glad I didn't dream it! :o

Btw ladies, if you're planning on stocking up on preg tests and ovulation tests at the same time, this deal seemed pretty good to me, cos you can combine them both within the order and specify how many you wanted of each within the 100, rather than ordering a fixed number of one and then the other.

    And no, I can't sleep now duh.gif
