Trying for a Baby Part Six

Kaemi, the very last people I consider when TTC are my employers and colleagues. I work in a small team too and my boss is regularly on maternity leave, leaving us "in the lurch". I don't hold it against her, neither do my colleagues. Do you think in 30 or 40 years time, you'll regret leaving your colleagues in the lurch to have a baby that gave you so many years of joy? I think you'd be much more likely to regret not trying to have a baby than having one and inconveniencing others. There are certain times in life when you need to be selfish. TTC is one of them.
By the way, there is always hope of graduating! My aunt was told by doctors that IVF would be wasted on her, she was "beyond help". She conceived naturally 6 months later and had a baby boy, it was a complete one-off miracle. As long as you are bd'ing, there is always a chance! If you've been told to forget about conceiving in the next four months, i suggest that, for the next 4 months, you ditch the thermometer and the OPKs, take folic acid, bd on a regular basis and, if you can afford it, book a foreign holiday while you still have the chance. By the way, Murphy's law states that the second you book a flight to Australia, you will become pg! Happened to my sister and her husband on 3rd round of IVF, she had to reschedule them for a year later (cost a lot of money to reschedule too) and brought the baby with them when he was 3 months old. Same thing happened to 2 different friends of hers too.
Thanks for that, I'd never really thought of it that way but you're right. I still hope me and my colleague fall at the same time though as if we announce it within a few weeks they can't get mad, it'll just be one of those unfortunate things. DH said last night we can book a big holiday for my birthday in feb if nothing has happened by then - he knows I always need something to look forward to.i_love_holidays wrote: »Hi iloveholidays!! I'm the same as you, i'm about 9.8 and i think i should be 8.13 or maybe even less if you look at those charts!! We should become ttc lose weight buddies!!
hey goppers i think we should too :j
personally for me i have been 8.13 and less a good few years ago and thinking back i wasnt happy - i am quite happy to be 9st 7lbs and lose a few pounds for hols i have kicked started myself as most of this year i have been 10.4 which is the heaviest ive been
my bmi reads on my wii fit as 24.08
My BMI is 22.0, I'd like to get it down to 21.0, the weight I was for my wedding and when I got pg:o
thats a good BMI QQ mines a alot higher then yours lol
I am having real ocd over keep needing to pee when i dont actually need to just to see if AF has arrived. Someone please stop me!
Littleme82 that was me all weekend
OMG, what is with my periods since mc? They are horrendous. Was in agony yesterday evening and had to leave work at 12.30 today cos the pain was that bad. They are seriously heavy too.
Would also like to point out that I never had sore boobs, cramps etc in the lead up to period before TTC but now I seem to have them every month - is there a physical reason for this or is it all in my head??
nora batty - my periods since coming off the pill or rather ttc are really really painful i do think all our symptoms are in our head like me now for example i know im cd2 but every headache b o o b ache nipple ache or tummy ache i have i put down to ov or pg spotting and it does drive us ladies crazy - i think if you are pregnant or not you believe what you want to believe i know i do anyway
i guess that pg symptoms are probably similar to af symptoms and for that reason i do not test until i am 2 days overdue my longest cycle i have been which i havent got to yet
Yesterdays PMA seems to have vanished, today I'm really blue that it's going to be at least another 4 months till I even have a hope of graduating. Another girl at work has told me today they're going to start trying in November, so its going to be a race to see who gets there first as we're quite a small team and neither of us would be comfortable leaving them in the lurch as such.
Hugs Kaemi
Thanks for the hugs. Can I buddy up too? Again only at a bmi of around 22.9, but I'd like to loose a stone so my clothes aren't so tight. I did the very traditional thing of gaining 1stone in the first year of marriage and I don't want it getting itself comfortable and inviting some friends over to join it!Tell me to mind my business but why 4 months?
Have lots of hugs and lots of chocolate :EasterBunI know a lot of people are facing much greater challenges so I'm very sorry if I sound miserable for no reason, I'm just an impatient so and so!
PMA: More time means a better financial position, we can go on a fantastic trip for my birthday, I can loose the wedding stone making my skirts too tight, in 3 days time I'll be in Paris, if I get a bean due after June 4th 2012 I'll get £750 from our cashback plan, our new flooring for the lounge arrives in two days so by the end of August we should finally have an almost finished house rather than squatting in just 3 out of 9 rooms as we've done for a year!0 -
So very, very oddly I'm going to be hoping for a real heavy AF this month!
Hey you can join my clubI know a lot of people are facing much greater challenges so I'm very sorry if I sound miserable for no reason, I'm just an impatient so and so!
Don't be silly. We all have our grumbles and no matter how big or small they may be in the grand scheme of things they're important to us. I think your feels are 100% justified.PMA: More time means a better financial position, we can go on a fantastic trip for my birthday, I can loose the wedding stone making my skirts too tight, in 3 days time I'll be in Paris, if I get a bean due after June 4th 2012 I'll get £750 from our cashback plan, our new flooring for the lounge arrives in two days so by the end of August we should finally have an almost finished house rather than squatting in just 3 out of 9 rooms as we've done for a year!
Yay for the PMA.0 -
Maybe we've discovered a new phenomenon! You know like when girls live together their cycles sync. Maybe the hormones have gotten through the computer!
Maybe one of you has "super hormones" :rotfl:
I have super hormones! I have almost the model chart month after month. I am a very lucky girl not many of you do with pcos etc etc going on. I shall rub off on you all :rotfl:I will get those next month who I didn't get this month ... The sync monster is coming to get you :D0 -
I really don't understand what plans some of you have which gives you cash back when you fall pregnant?! I'm confused!
I possibly due to OV later this week and im noticing a change in cm, not ewcm yet, more white and sticky ifykwim..... never noticed cm like this before but then i have been on the pill for 10 yrs. I'm actually enjoying finding out what my body does naturally!
Othernews, a colleague got her BFN but lets just say her situation is far from ideal, (her words not mine!) so the green eyed monster came out in me, I tried to put it back in its cage but its not easy!0 -

I think it's some health care plan that you pay into and they pay out for things such as dental, operations and pregnancy. They were discussing it on the waiting to TTC thread a while back

Hello again.
I am back after some time off following my last miscarriage. OH and I started trying again this month and I'm currently in the two-week wait. Not sure when I OVd this month, I had the EWCM for days and days, but I was ill so we only DTD once, last Thursday night, so...
I do fall PG easily (just can;t keep them) so I might be lucky, am taking Pregnacare in case, not drinking, stopped coffee, although not tea, not yet anyway.
WIll try and read back a bit and see who is here and how you are all doing.
Think I'm a bit crazy cos I'm already trying to symptom spot!:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

I'm with Medicash, but there are plenty of others. Martin has an article on healthcare cashback plans. Because I wear contact lenses (costing £33 a month) the £39 a month I pay for the cashback plan is almost covered by that alone, but then I can also claim back glasses, opticians, dentists, fillings etc. The policies start from about £6 a month, for me it adds up because I know I have so many ongoing costs with the contacts, but we don't have one for OH (and guess what, went to the dentist last week and one of us needs fillings and it isn't me!)
Thanks for being so nice about me being a whiney sod Fannyanna, I'm all PMA-d up again now (although I may just be so tired I don't give a hoot about anything but bed)0 -
Welcome skintchick, fingers crossed you get a sticky bean soon xxx
I forgot to change the delivery address on amazon so my TTc goodies are being delivered to Mum and Dad's!!! I've had to say its some stuff DH ordered on my account!! Only trouble is it means it'll take longer to get them as I have to make a special trip to pick them up! I'm at their house now but only 1 thing has come any typiacally its not the BBT which is what I really want to get started with!!0 -
THanks Lisa. I have some very mild cramping at the moment and a sore low back which I'm hoping might be very early Pg symptoms, but I will drive myself crazy if I symptom spot from this early! I HATE HATE HATE weeks 1 to 12. WHy is having a baby so fraught with worry and difficulty? DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Hello ladies, I'm feeling rubbish today
Just been feeling horrid all day and despite the lovely weather I can't pull myself out of the blues. I know I'm being daft.
Hope you are all doing well and that everyone who is cycle day 1 or 2 is looking forward to august being the month for bfps. The two weeks until my af is due seems to be stretching out forever so I'm actually quite jealous of you all being there already!
Fingers crossed tomorrow is a better day0
