Yesterdays PMA seems to have vanished, today I'm really blue that it's going to be at least another 4 months till I even have a hope of graduating. Another girl at work has told me today they're going to start trying in November, so its going to be a race to see who gets there first as we're quite a small team and neither of us would be comfortable leaving them in the lurch as such.

Kaemi, the very last people I consider when TTC are my employers and colleagues. I work in a small team too and my boss is regularly on maternity leave, leaving us "in the lurch". I don't hold it against her, neither do my colleagues. Do you think in 30 or 40 years time, you'll regret leaving your colleagues in the lurch to have a baby that gave you so many years of joy? I think you'd be much more likely to regret not trying to have a baby than having one and inconveniencing others. There are certain times in life when you need to be selfish. TTC is one of them.

By the way, there is always hope of graduating! My aunt was told by doctors that IVF would be wasted on her, she was "beyond help". She conceived naturally 6 months later and had a baby boy, it was a complete one-off miracle. As long as you are bd'ing, there is always a chance! If you've been told to forget about conceiving in the next four months, i suggest that, for the next 4 months, you ditch the thermometer and the OPKs, take folic acid, bd on a regular basis and, if you can afford it, book a foreign holiday while you still have the chance. By the way, Murphy's law states that the second you book a flight to Australia, you will become pg! Happened to my sister and her husband on 3rd round of IVF, she had to reschedule them for a year later (cost a lot of money to reschedule too) and brought the baby with them when he was 3 months old. Same thing happened to 2 different friends of hers too.

I know it's hard, but try not to test until at least 14DPO:o
Hide the tests away:o And take one day at a time. Try to hold off testing as long as you can:cool:

I have not done any tests since and will wait until I get asked to test on here!

thought you were allowed to test at 12dpo with an early response one? oh well I have learnt now not to - only need to be told the once!

Nora - i saw your post about saying not to on monday after i had already done it!!

  • Hi iloveholidays!! I'm the same as you, i'm about 9.8 and i think i should be 8.13 or maybe even less if you look at those charts!! We should become ttc lose weight buddies!! :D

hey goppers i think we should too :j

personally for me i have been 8.13 and less a good few years ago and thinking back i wasnt happy - i am quite happy to be 9st 7lbs and lose a few pounds for hols i have kicked started myself as most of this year i have been 10.4 which is the heaviest ive been
my bmi reads on my wii fit as 24.08

My BMI is 22.0, I'd like to get it down to 21.0, the weight I was for my wedding and when I got pg:o

thats a good BMI QQ mines a alot higher then yours lol

I am having real ocd over keep needing to pee when i dont actually need to just to see if AF has arrived :o. Someone please stop me!

Littleme82 that was me all weekend

OMG, what is with my periods since mc? They are horrendous. Was in agony yesterday evening and had to leave work at 12.30 today cos the pain was that bad. They are seriously heavy too.

Would also like to point out that I never had sore boobs, cramps etc in the lead up to period before TTC but now I seem to have them every month - is there a physical reason for this or is it all in my head??

nora batty - my periods since coming off the pill or rather ttc are really really painful i do think all our symptoms are in our head like me now for example i know im cd2 but every headache b o o b ache nipple ache or tummy ache i have i put down to ov or pg spotting and it does drive us ladies crazy - i think if you are pregnant or not you believe what you want to believe i know i do anyway
i guess that pg symptoms are probably similar to af symptoms and for that reason i do not test until i am 2 days overdue my longest cycle i have been which i havent got to yet

It is of course totally up to you when you test. :)

Some people have got BFPs from as little as 10DPO so it is possible. :) The only thing I would bare in mind (as I said the other day) is the risk of detecting a chemical pregnancy.

Some people get really down at the sight of BFN after BFN and so prefer to wait as long as they can before testing so that they don't get too upset by it. If you are the sort of person who can shake off a BFN easily then test when you want. :)

If you want to test more often then ICs (internet cheapies from places such as Amazon or eBay - they look like the OPKS) are a more :money:way of doing it. They don't produce lines as strong as some other tests you can get but they are a good starting point and don't cost a lot.:D

I know I can test when I like I was just being silly!

I have some internet cheapies so may start using them from wednesday or thursday? which day do you think?

I have a pack of 2 superdrug tests at home so will only use them if an IC shows a line!

Another question......if tomorrow is 14dpo then when should AF arrive on the 14DPO day or the following days? I get confused by it all.

    xx

Usually test on the day AF is due but if you don't know that then it depends how patient you are :p

It all depends on how long your LP is. For some AF arrives on 10DPO and for other 16DPO.... sorry no straight forward answer! :o

norabatty, I thought I didn't get any AF symptoms too until I started TTC:o As for AF pain, try to eat something, it is worse on empty stomach (((hugs))).
As for Australia, I've just booked one:D I'm going on CD3.
    It's a lot closer from Singapore though:o
Kaemi, you don't know it'll be another 4 month before you catch the eggy. It could be this cycle. PMA:)
Littleme, I usually test at 10DPO, and when I see BFN, I stop until I get AF. I use cheapy IC hpts, so no guilty conscience:cool:
As for DPOs, I get AF on 15DPO. Everyone's different. It can vary.

Me too, plus pretty much everyone that I work with is grumpy today!! Oh well, only another hour to go.

My PMA for today: big projects at work have more than doubled in value over the last week so we should be in for some good bonuses this year and next and if I dont manage to conveive for a while I wont miss out! :j The more I can earn in the meantime, the longer I can afford to take off when I do have a baby :)
