I'm not quite sure what set me off but I've been on a bit of a downer this evening.

I think I got a bit ahead of myself thinking that the Metformin had regulated my cycles and that this month would be closer to a normal 28 day cycle. I know 34 is still not that long (and a huge improvement on 8 months lol) but it's now a day longer than my last cycle. I know this sounds odd on a TTC thread but I just want AF to arrive.

Then as I was down I let my mind wander and started feeling carp thinking that we could be trying for a long time (sorry if this is insensitive for those that have been trying for a long time - I know I haven't but I expect to be). Then feeling even worse that Hubby already has two children with two different women (both completely unplanned) and that now that he's actually trying to have a planned baby it's not working - or to be more precise I'm not working.

I know I sound really selfish but I'm just feeling really naff right now.

    Have a big hug-2.gif
I know it must be hard for you. Hopefully your cycles will start to regulate soon and the charting will help you to detect when you ov so that fingers crossed it won't be as long as you think.

    P.S You're not selfish!

Quite hard at times going through this process when hubby isn't really interested. Asked when he wants to see a test and he said don't bother. When your period is late you will know. And I was like you need to test some time to confirm it and he said do you really ... when you start getting fat you will know. Sigh ...

Snap! Just had our 2 year anniversary and I get asked constantly. The worst, for some bizarre reason, is my beautician.
Yeah, I actually put off asking my hairdresser recently about the birth of her new baby (she went off for maternity between appts) cos a) I was worried that if she didn't mention it naturally, all hadn't gone well... and b) I didn't really want it to come back round to me. But as it goes she knew I had PCOS so I probably had a better less pressured convo with her that people I actually know "in real life"!

I hope the convo with the beautician didn't upset you too much.:o I think my new retort is going to be "it's in God's hands" and leave it at that!

BigZ- hope ur feeling better today,
Thanks :o I am a bit. I'm still a bit emotional, but about not being able to exercise (of all things!!) cos of my health, so I think I just have a few hormones around atm...hopefully ov related hormones ;)

If you can stomach grapefruit juice (I think it is?) that'd probably be a cheaper way of getting more CM than Preseed??

I'm currently 12 DPO. Temperature still high this morning. My boobs are a bit bigger than usual and I've had this cold for over a week that just won't budge- could they be signs?? Trying not to think of much of it- only time will tell. Might try and test tomorrow? If I were pregnant should the test show anything (at 13 DPO?) or is it still too early?
Fingers crossed redfrog!! :) I think it's something like 70% shows at 13DPO but I could've just made that up!!:rotfl:

    ((hugs)) Rebekah.
Maybe he's just been a typical boy about it all. My DH didn't really know much about the whole process (apart from the obvious ;) ) when we started TTCing. Don't think he realised how many tests I would take and why. I think he thought if it was neg then that was it no baby this month!
Sometimes they just don't think things through before they say them. Hopefully your DH will get used to it all soon.

    Good morning all:wave:

I got Peak on CBFM today!:j
That means 1/3 of CBFM users will ov today and 2/3 ov tomorrow, and the rest ov the day after tomorrow.

My temps went up today, so I may have ov'd already, or it could be because I kept waking up in the night worrying about UTI coming back:o

It was my 1st BD after UTI, TMI alert: I peed before and after and wiped with Andrex wet tissue 3 times, but kept waking up when the remains of BD started leaking:o Decided to change my undies at 4am:o

    Redfrog, have you tested?:)
    Candlewax, sorry AF caught you
    smiley_hug.gif
But armed with Preseed, grapefruit juice (stop after ov), OPK and a thermometer, hope you'll catch it this cycle:)
2ba3c, have you looked at the lines on CBFM? Did the pee end line ever get darker?
Hugs for spotting, hope it's not AF:o
    norabatty, (((Hugs))) re beautician:o
Hope she'll be more sensitive to others from now on.
GemmaE, well done on the race:T
Hope you are OK after that:o
sexymouse, :rotfl:re Bob. Clever blaming him for things you can't find:D You must be really popular with the children:cool:
    Good luck today:)
fannyanna, (((Hugs))). We all have those moments that we'll never have our own baby:o But we will. Get your PMA up!:j
Rebekah, it's good to have a DH who's not interested. At least it wouldn't be like my DH, asking 'when's your AF? Isn't it late?' (Haven't ov'd yet), 'Don't you ov on the 14th day?' (this was this morning, like I ever ov'd on the 14th day:mad:), and everytime before BD - 'when are you due to ov?'

Snap! Just had our 2 year anniversary and I get asked constantly. The worst, for some bizarre reason, is my beautician. Every month I go into her to get the legs and bikini waxed, I'd obviously tell her if I was pregnant incase she needed to know for some medical reason. Anyway, after mc in April, I didn't go back til June cos I knew she was going to ask again. This time, she was worse than ever. "How long are you married now?" "Nearly 2 years" "No babies yet?" "No" pause...sneaky look..."Any plans?" "Yes" another pause "No luck yet?" which really  !!!!ed me off so I said "Actually we did have luck and got pregnant but then we had some bad luck and now we're not" at which stage I looked like I was about to bawl.

Well, if ever a ground could swallow her up, she'd have jumped right in. She came up with some words about how it was all God's plan and then the conversation came to an awkward end. I actually felt good leaving there, making her feel as awkward as she has made me feel for the past 6 months since we started ttc

Well done! I've been tempted to say the same but then don't because I don't want to make people feel bad but THEY'RE the ones who should be thinking before they speak.

    ^^ what she said! :D

My temp has gone up a fair bit this morning.TMI ----> I've been having a lot of creamy CM the past couple of days. Some of it has been tinged with very light brown (not dark brown like spotting) - not sure if it's somethjing good or bad but hope it's not bad!
