I would have a couple, whether you chose to have more than that is up to you.:)

I chose to have as much as I wanted a few weeks ago when we had a sort of holiday with DH's cousin cos I figured I needed the blow out and relax and not think about TTC all the time.

Having said that, if I was ovulating on schedule and knew I had more of a chance each "month" I don't know how I'd feel

Oh I can't decide! DH thinks it would be ok but I don't know. I haven't been able to find anything conclusive on way or the other online. On the one hand I don't want to do anything that would hurt any potential bean but on the other there are hundreds, if not thousands of women who get pregnant after drunken fumbles or drink before realising they are pg. But then I'd never forgive myself if I did and something went wrong

I may just go with the intention of not drinking and see how it goes. I'll only have a couple if I do.

    xx

Woodburner heats up the hot water? That's impressive:cool:
Forgive my ignorance, do you actually feed wood into the heater:huh:

Hope your nana will be awake. Dressings? Did she have a fall?
    Good luck with CBFM:)

    Evening all!

Have had a very busy day today, and still have to feed M&D's cat and pick them up from the airport.

To answer your questions QQ, the woodburner is like this but in cream enamel:

Country6.jpg You feed it with fuel, and that is linked to a back boiler that heats the water - it saves us a lot in money for gas, but unfortunately we didn't have enough room to have one that does the radiators too.

My Nana was asleep and it took me 3 attempts to get her up - I got there at 9.10am and she didn't get down for her breakfast until 10.30am! She has dressings on both her legs as she has really bad vascular ulcers on them both that get infected very easily - they constantly weep too, and she's on lots of morphine to help with the pain, but her legs still hurt. She is 94 and has Alzheimer's too, and although she's fairly lucid at the moment (remembers who we are etc), I've seen a decline just in the 3 weekends I've been visiting her. Today, she couldn't remember where my parents (her daughter) lived, or having ever been there (she stays every Christmas), and swore she had rheumatism in her legs and had never had leg ulcers, despite me pointing out that that was what the dressings were for! Still, she enjoyed her meals and appreciated what I'd done for her - I bought her some new flowers to look at (she's pretty chair-bound) as her current ones had died. I hope I never have to go through what she is going through when I'm old.

Positives today - I bought us a limoncello dessert in Sainsbugs for after lunch, which was yummy, I managed to get a Starbucks coffee, my haircut looks nice, Moon is cooking the dinner so I can have a little sit-down before we leave for the airport, I found one of the Nature Valley granola bar flavours that used to be in the variety packs and isn't any more (apple crisp) in Waitrose, so I've got them to look forward to in my lunchbox this week, I managed to refund and then rebuy a dress I'd bought in the Monsoon sale as it had gone down further in price, and I had my reward card with me this time too to get the points.

Big congratulations to mishka again. Any more BFPs?

lemonmelon is CD10. I'm assuming she's aiming for BFP later this month:cool:

I'm loving that other people know my cycle better than I do! Yes cycle day 10 indeed, we are trying to BD every other day but staying with the inlaws this weekend and I'm not too sure where my morals stand in that one. I feel a bit sick at the thought of all that sperm in there as well. For some reason it never o cured to me before that it would just be waiting around, bleughhhhh!

All the talk of food is making me hungry, I spent most of the rainy afternoon making gooseberry jam though :)

Emsbet, I know how you feel about drinking - I had to have one the other day even though is rather not because last time I didn't somebody asked me if I was pregnant! (we are keeping ttc our secret) I don't think a couple will hurt though but don't do it if it makes you feel uncomfortable.

At least its summer so you can get lots of nice fruit like nectarines and strawberries and blueberries to satisfy the sugar cravings. You could always make sweet things healthier like making muffins with wholemeal flour and fruit (rhubarb or orange?) that way if you have to give in its not too much damage?

Yeah, we bought £10 worth of fruits last night, waiting for the peaches to ripen fully, ditto melon, and have strawberrys/grapes/raspberries/blueberries with dessert every night. Having snacks that have a thin coating of chocolate and a limited calorie content (like the tesco value wafer bars) works quite well, as a "treat" that's not too detrimental, for me.

I find baking things that aren't wrapped up separately, and pre-specified calorie content, hard to control. :o Plus I can't have wholewheat etc things because of the IBS :)

Ah yeah that's a good point, Sorry! Good going on the fruit though, that's the best thing about summer when its only a couple of pounds for nice fruit, I get so bored eating bananas all winter :(

No need to apologise! I'm agreeing on boring food through winter. In fact it's not even that it's boring, or more expensive, it's that it tastes rubbish when it's out of season. I don't even really like raspberries/strawberries etc when they're out of season cos they're just not "right", are they?
