Mortons Steakhouse, which is on the 6th floor of the Mandarin Oriental (in Marina Bay).Sunday Brunch at the Conrad has the most AWESOME huge rib of beef nice and pink in the middle, which you can have as much as you like. It is 12-3 every sunday, in Oscars @ the conrad. It is buffet style, so eat what you want, as much as you like, with an amazing range of things, chinese dim sum, indian specialities, a caesar salad they make inside a giant Grand Padano cheese, plus they have an AMAZING seafood section with giant prawns, lobster and crab claws, oysters etc, and a freshly made waffle stand for pudding. AND you can choose to have unlimited Moet or Vueve cliq!!Sausages, Hmm. not done huge amounts of supermarketish shopping, but i reckon the best for expat speciality items is "Cold Storage", not cheap, but good for when you just gotta have that something. They do online as well. https://www.coldstorage.com.sg/corporate/public/corporate_storelocations.html
You could try the big Carrefour store at Suntec, they are so huge, they have more than most smaller stores.
The one I bought was at a delicatessen in Meidi-ya (River Valley), it said British Sausage but was pretty awful:lipsrseal I just want normal:o
Never been to suntec, but will make the trip for the love of sausages:cool:
I'm not a gourmet, I like the Sainsbury's Taste the difference 'ultimate' sausages:p2lbs off 2st loss...you will not distract me!!:p0 -
I stayed at the M.Oriental in early april (right before i caught my beanie) when i came over for some work. If you fancy some very nice Dim Sum, the cherry garden restaurant is also at the Oriental, and does a great Saturday and Sunday Dim Sum buffet (menu service) which is excellent quality, and quite reasonable at about SG$40. If you arent sure what you want, you can ask them to bring you a selection- say if you dont want sharks fin, birds nest, chicken feet etc. YOu might feel full but you HAVE to have the mango tapioca pudding at the end. It is so light and fresh it finishes the meal off perfectly.
Can also recommend a fab indian place at Tanglin end of Orchard, and some good cheap eats in little places on Orchard.
The conrad buffet is so amazing, i recommend going on any empty stomach, and dont plan on eating for rest of the day. Unfortnately i wont be able to do it now for a while- seafood, buckets of bubbly and rare beef are off the menu till beanie arrives. I'd get in there while you can!
If i end up coming out for a trip before beanie arrives, i'll let you know, in case there are anythings i can bring out for you.

Now that has got me interested! LOL. Need to do food shopping and can't be bothered!I have the book that someone recommended on here that shows you pictures of every day of your pregnancy. Working my way through that at bed time.We had a sort of date night last night and sat eating fish n chips whilst watching a film. Was nice to take mind off it all.0

Ok, well here are a few more then. Sorry everyone not in Singapore!
http://www.yantra.com.sg/ Great Indian place- pretty good value (not cheap but not expensive) if you like nuts, then i INSIST you try their peshwari naan. I guarantee it is nothing like any peshwari you have ever had before. I could happily go thre and just eat the whole portion of this! Restaurant is in the mall, tucked away in a corner. I think on the floor below ground level. It IS there, so dont give up and think its closed (as we nearly did!)
http://www.qiji.com.sg/general/aboutus.aspx?uc=4 If you fancy trying some local eats, like laksa, then a good cheap chain is Qiji. There are many dotted around. Its a fast food concept, no frills stores but clean and very tasty indeed and cheap.
http://www.ricetable.com.sg/ Another place on Orchard, hidden in another little mall, the internation centre, almost opposite the Hilton. An unusal indonesian restaurant, fixed lunch and dinner menus. Pay one price, and they bring a table full of little bowls of different things, so you can try lots but not get too stuffed. Highly recommend that you get the bottomless glass of lime juice to drink, very refreshing and good value if you have more than one cup.
http://www.laupasat.biz/locator.html Don't know if you have been to any hawker centres yet? If you like Satay, i would recommend going to Lau Pau Sat festival market, near Raffles place MRT. In the evenings at the weekend, the road outside closes, and all the satay stalls set up. its a bit annyong running the gauntlet as they all try and get you to choose their stall, but worth it! I recommend Stall 1, right on the far end, Called Fat Man Satay. Very very yummy! Just go sit on the tables by their stall and someone should come and offer a menu from them to order from. Someone else will come round and offer drinks, the beer is cheaper than in bars esp if you order a jug. They disappear once you order, but will be back with the drink!
Well enough for now.. i'm getting singers sick!
Have fun trying them!

Thanks Kira, wow you've been to lots and you have great memory:shocked:
We've been to hawkers and many restaurants, but seems we haven't been to any of the restaurants you've listed:o
I've copied it all, so we'll get cracking:drool:0 -

I chose to have as much as I wanted a few weeks ago when we had a sort of holiday with DH's cousin cos I figured I needed the blow out and relax and not think about TTC all the time.
Having said that, if I was ovulating on schedule and knew I had more of a chance each "month" I don't know how I'd feel:T:T Go Zippy! :T:TWow! Congrats!:T
I've set myself a little goal of 2.5st by the first weekend in August, when we have a family gathering, so trying to be good step by step... Hopefully it'll have a positive impact on my PCOS soon too"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0
