Thanks Scarly. I'm drinking loads now to try to flush it out.
Don't have any pineapple/cranberry etc but will get them tomorrow.
Have to go pee:p0 -
Hope you are ok QQ. I've never had either a UTI or kidney stones so I can't give you any advice I'm afraid.
Keep us updated

Where abouts is the pain does it feel similar to AF?
Is it really bad?
How does it feel? Is it crampy or something else?
Did it sting when you peed?
It seems to be a characteristic UTI symptom. It's over in a flash and only happens when I pee. Oh, and burning sensation at the exit (better look up some terms:o).
I had that once after I had a catheter inserted back in April (IVF). It went away in few hours.
The bleeding with clots seems strange. Perhaps it's one of those acute UTIs:huh:0 -
'Blood in the urine can be a sign -- sometimes the only sign at first -- of a urinary tract infection. It can result from microscopic bleeding within the kidneys, or from an abscess if the infection is far advanced. Blood can also appear in urine from a bleed anywhere between the kidneys and the urinary meatus (the end of the urethra, from where the urine emerges); in particular, cystitis can result in bleeding inside the bladder, which will certainly leave blood in the urine -- whether as blood-tinging, blood clots in the urine, or something in between. When we ask patients what part of the urine stream the blood appears in, we are trying to figure out where the blood is entering the urine: for example, blood that appears just as you start to urinate and clears up as the flow continues indicates that the bleeding is in the urethra, where it accumulates until you urinate and is then flushed out by the flowing urine. On the other hand, blood that is uniformly mixed with the urine is likely coming from the kidneys, the ureters, or the bladder. "

Sounds classic UTI-ish. I don't like the blood clotting and heavy bleeding though tbh.0

Sounds about right thanks Euro:)
Will have a look at how the pee changes colour to see where it comes from. Good thing I'm used to looking at my pee as I do so many POAS:cool:
Have drank so much water, will probably be up all night anyway:D, but so long as it doesn't worsen, I'll go to my GP in the morning. Otherwise, I'll go to the 24hr walk in clinic:o0 -
Had a look, it seems it is uniformly mixed but really light yellowy pink, but had AF like red flow intermittently. I think it burns when I pass the red stuff and/or clots.0
