Thanks for letting me know! I have to confess the furthest I'd got on imagining it was as a very long pokey stick... At least now I'll know that most of it is for holding rather than anything else _pale_ :D

Thanks fannyanna, sounds like we really at pretty much at the same stage! How long have you been waiting for an appt for the scan? My doc sent through the request the day I saw him (19th May) so it's been over a month for me. Plus it will be another couple of weeks before I get to discuss the results and then I can get some actual 'official' advice on what I'm supposed to be doing. :rotfl:

The doctor referred me after my appointment on 31st May. The hospital did send me an appointment for yesterday but I had to cancel it as I was on a course in London yesterday. They said they'd have to send me out a new date and I'm still waiting for that.

I've literally just had the results of my blood tests and apparently they don't show anything significant. I've already had a couple of blood tests to see whether I've ovulated and I haven't. I was told to book an appointment with my normal doctor but I think I might just wait until I've had the scan and she has the results from that available too.

Plus there's the small matter of removing some pre-cancerous cells that showed up last week following my first smear test. Because of that I'm not able to TTC so I guess I'm in no rush to get to the bottom of my fertility problems. :(

They think all is well, so you should be able to get pg fine:)
Am trying to be more positive, am talking to a lady who practises accupuncture so going to give that a whirl (as long as it's not crazy expensive!) Anyone else had a try?
    I had it done!:j
It was very relaxing, I love it:)

LOL-I've just spent 5 mins trying to think of something positive to say but have failed miserably. Sorry

Anyone up for sharing a bottle of wine? Surely It's past the yard-arm now?!?

    I'd love a glass of wine thanks:beer:

QQ- sore throat still here but slightly better thanks. I'm not sure feeling sick due to eating large quantities of sweets/biccies/choccies will count as pg symptom though!
He he, eat sensibly from now on, and see if it continues:cool:

I have my ultrasound scan tomorrow morning to check for cysts. DH has taken the morning off to come with me which makes me feel a bit better, but still pretty nervous. Guess it's going to be an internal scan and can't say I'm thrilled about it :o.
It's not painful, just relax, and wear a skirt so you don't have to strip off the bottom half:o

Haha – QQ your post has put a smile on my face.

You quoted my post earlier about having a hangover and then quoted my other post where I was having a pity me moment.

It may just be the way that my mind works but from those two quotes it looks as though I’ve turned to the bottle.

Just like to reassure everyone that I was out drinking with colleagues and I wasn’t locked in a dark room, sipping from a whiskey bottle whilst I lick my wounds :rotfl:

I'm really sorry to hear about your smear results! And the resulting wait in TTC. :( My mum had pre-cancerous cells as well a few years ago, it was dealt with very quickly and easily and she's totally fine now so fingers crossed that you can get it behind you with minimum fuss and carry on TTC.

It is a good plan! I thought I was being sensible wearing a skirt - only, like the wally I am, I also put on tights

Thankfully I've just epilated so tight-less skirt wearing will actually be a possibility!

Thanks Scarly. Got my dreaded colposcopy appointment on Tuesday. In a way I hope that they also do the treatment then and there so that it's all over and done with and I don't have to play the stressful waiting game for another appointment.

Also hope that when they do the treatment they get all the cells. Our PA at work has recently had the same thing and they didn’t get them all the first time so she had to go through it all twice

I'm not sure what an anovulatory AF looks like. I'd assume it'll be lighter but don't know:huh:

    Good idea.

Would you like to go back to CD1 too?
Um, not sure re CD1...?
I looked up anovulatory bleeding last night and it seems to fit (it can be other end of the spectrum but I think the longer the cycle without bleeding the heavier it is?)

Actually saw a Dr as i had something else to discuss and she was very nice about the whole thing but said after the 3rd set they wont do anything until we have been TTC for 2 years  i wasn't really expecting this, i know it's 2 years in some places but they seemed so ready to do my bloods and DH's SA that i just thought this was the beginning of it all.

Am trying to be more positive, am talking to a lady who practises accupuncture so going to give that a whirl (as long as it's not crazy expensive!) Anyone else had a try?
At least, on the bright side, if you're ovulating and his sperm is fine, then it's unlikely to be anything medical wrong and you don't need loads of interference? On the other hand I do understand how frustrating it is for you though, and it's hard to readjust your expectations... :o Hope you don't need the third ov test result ;)

Not tried acupuncture other than once for my pain...I wasn't a fan. But I have a dodgy nerve endings condition :o
