    Congrats busybee!!!

Sorry for arriving and then vanishing ladies, it stopped sending me emails to say there were messages, I thought this was a very quiet board! Have set up a daily subscription now since as I swap between accounts instant notification wasn't working for me.

Approx 7 days since ov here, another 10 to go until Af is due. Feeling very impatient even though I know this is so unlikely to be our month given I only got my implant taken out early in this cycle. I think part of it is I'm getting a lot of the phantom pregnancy symptoms people warn you about when you come off the implant (twinges, cramping, dizzyness, headaches) and it's far too easy to get my hopes up, so I need AF to arrive to bring me back down to earth and get me onto my first month where we're properly TTC.

    Hi everyone :)

I'm brand spanking new to this site and new to this forum too stumbled upon it when I was searching for a forum for those of us who are ttc.

I am ttc and have been since dec/10 stopped taking my contraceptive pill then have a lovely partner and have 2 gorgeous boys already with my ex H they are aged 8yrs and 4yrs also had one angel who was born sleeping at 31wks 9yrs ago my one and only DD. DP has never had a child and is desperate to be a daddy and he will be a fabulous one too :)

In preparation for ttc we both gave up smoking and have saved a fortune lol we cut right down on alcohol and general tried to live healthier lifestyles neither of us are overweight but as yet nothing has happenned I am due AF next week wednesday/thursday dont have any symptoms at all of being pg again.

We are both taking vitamins DP a multivitamin and me pregnacare plus (which I bought for a bargain £3.74p when my local Tesco discontinued them :) ) we have carried out ovulation tests but found them rather difficult to read tbh and never got a solid positive line yet though definitely ovulated because a) I felt it and b) I luckily had an u/s scan a few days later and she confirmed she could see the burst follicle ( had the scan due to having the ovulation pain)

Is there anything obvious were missing ? Obviously we do the BD every month at the right time.

Anyway hope everyone is well would be good to hear from you all
    Amanda :) x

:hello: Hello Amanda ! Welcome to the thread! :) Fingers crossed you won't be here long ;)

I understand where you are coming from re: opks (ovulation tests) I have used them for the first time this month and have had faint lines but not a full positive.

Are you using a Basal Body Thermometer to chart your temps?

I'm relatively new to all this and can't think of anything else that maybe you should be doing but I'm sure one of the more knowledgeable ladies will be along soon with some tips.

I'm struggling a bit with the PMA the last couple of days, feeling very stressed (not just with the TTC). I'm trying to relax but nothing is working and the more it doesn't work the more stressed I get about it. :wall:
Can anyone share what they do to relax? I've never been one who is very good at switching off. I can't help but go over and over things if something is bugging me. Any tips from you lovely ladies would be grately appreciated.:o

    xx

Go on holiday! :D Not very MSE though... I find exercise helps me chill out - nothing like a proper !!!-busting sweatathon to help you forget your troubles :rotfl:

Hope you find a way to relax soon :o

I'm back at work today after 2 weeks off and its like I've never been away. There's a big announcement here on Friday and rumours suggest that the area I look after will be closing so I may not have my job when that happens! Hopefully there will be something else for me though and I'm ready for a change anyway!

Good luck! Hope find brings good news :o

    Fingers crossed maire1! :)

Welcome Amanda! Well done for giving up smoking, great news for all of you :) Sounds like you're doing everything right, it will happen!

No news from me apart from did spot a little bit of EWCM this evening! :j However...DH got booted in the nuts at football tonight, so I think he's out of action until at least tomorrow...I hope he hasn't done any lasting damage!! :o Hopefully I'll ov in a couple of days time.

Right, must go get my beauty sleep, night night!

    BB x

p.s. QQ - I did go to the gym tonight :D

MrsE, so sorry to hear your news :(

Amanda, welcome to the madhouse ;)

    AlwaysTBB Congratulations!! :j

I've not been on for a while as I have (yet another!) another UTI and a cold/flu/throat infection has tagged along for a ride. No positive (or even tlp) OPKs, no discernible or reliable temps/temp jump, and CD54 with no idea what's going on...so I'll lurk for now. :o

Hope you are all ok today? Its sunny here for a change so hoping i can actually get out in the garden and sort it out!

Morning all! CD30 here and nothing to report! I am very tired but that's probably just life in general rather than anything else!! Tummy is still feeling odd but I'm still not back to normal after being away and having different food, so again, probably not TTC related!!

I had my slimming world weigh in last night and have managed to lose 1.5lbs over 2 weeks that included my wedding and honeymoon which was all inclusive.......food poising does have its uses!! Althought that actually takes me 2lbs below my target weight so in theory I shoule be putting a bit back on now but I'm not going to actively try to, will just see what happens as my weight is always up and down anyway!

I want to go away but we spent most of our savings on the wedding and honeymoon just a few months ago so I don't think that will be happening. Maybe we can find a deal for a night away somewhere :o
I really need to exercise. I have been going to Zumba twice a week but haven't been this week as I haven't felt like it and my Zumba buddy has a poorly foot so I can't go and I can't get there on my own.
I'm feeling more positive today. My temp has gone up a bit so I hope it continues and I have ov'd. Also the sun is shining so that always helps my mood! :)

Fingers crossed you're wrong and it is something beany making you feel ill! :D

I managed to put on 4lbs on my honeymoon! I did go to the US so I guess with their portion sizes it was to be expected! ;) I have put on another couple of lbs since coming back - I really should try and keep on top of it before it gets out of hand but I'm loving eating chocolate again! ;)

Hope everyone has a nice day.
