House prices going up?

I have been watching the market for a few months and using Property Bee it looks like a lot of houses in the area we are looking are static or going down.

We had seen a house that we was going to arrange to view a few months back that has come back on the market, with a £25k increase

Do you think there just trying out the market again now there sale has fallen through?

I can't provide a link as I'm just getting used to the new Mac and don't know how to cut and paste web addresses, but it's for sale via David Lee in Stanstead, 3 bed detached Nr Elsenham if anyone want to put a link.

I have seen lots of price increases since the beginning of the year - one of which I viewed before the repo agents added another 31K onto the advertised price.
  • They can ask what they want. Doesn't mean prices are going up because it won't sell.

I can understand if a repo has been valued higher if they had a lot of interest. But a house that's been on the market for 3 months to have £25k added seems like a marketing ploy. I suspect that it may have a "new price" sign up in a week or so.

Over priced then, I would have thought the bank would have revised there price by now.

  • Maybe the dead body under the bed on picture 9 is worth a few bob?
Or the dead shark on the bathroom floor?

That's not a shark, it's a blue whale, so it would only be worth a couple of grand. An as for the body, well don't most houses have them under at least one bed?

Perhaps it was thought to have lost value when originally marketed, due to the impending Stansted 2nd runway.

Now that the 2nd runway is on hold/cancelled, that lost value is being re-added..?

Lovely house. Move it 20-30 miles from Stansted...
