Spud, I've got a size 14 top that your daugher **might like**
It's from New Looks Tall Range, so it might be a bit long, or a size 14 black top from Long Tall Sally, that I got for a posh wedding.0 -
Aww you're all so kind. I never seem to be able to repay the kindness
I'll sort something out, I usually do. Either that or we'll stop at home.
This and the last few days has made me realise just how bad our financial situation is. I always seem to be waiting for payday, wishing the time away. Time to try and change things somehow I think :cool:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Hey Spud - we have all been in the situation at some point or another and lots of us still are. Don't turn down offers of help though because you are worried you can't pay it back because that is not why people offer.
There may come a day when you can help someone out somehow and it doesn't have to be financial, maybe the wise advice you give out has or will help someone along the way.
People offer because they want to help, don't knock it back.OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

I really hope you get things sorted.
On the OU test I got two greens, and then a red for the English (because of the 'what's wrong with this sentence?' part - I knew what was wrong but couldn't explain it within the space using the right words), and a red for the maths, which I struggled with. I did it because I'm reading Richard Dawkins' Evolution book and I'm really enjoying using different parts of my brain and thinking about facts and figures instead of artsy fartsy stuff. I've been looking at their 10 point sciency courses.
I've just looked at the clock and thought it was broken, where's today gone?!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Spud, we all know how it feels like to be in this situation. Plus you've offered us help and advise over the past months etc.
My OH has a job interview on Tuesday, I'm jealous as it would be my dream job working for Oxford UNi in their new purpose built library. He's not a book lover either, which is annoying.0 -
LMC I'd love that job too.
I really fancy fish n chips. I dreamed about them last night after reading about fishy evolution and how it relates to us. Which doesn't seem right somehow... (the dreaming about eating them I mean, not the science).Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
I know, here's hoping he gets it. I just hope they dont' ask him about his favourite author or what book he's read lately as magazines don't count!
What book are you reading at the moment Ames? I've got Dawins Notes on Evolution to read after my exam in October.0 -
LMC, it's Richard Dawkins' The Greatest Show on Earth, which is explaining evolution and what evidence there is for it. It's really interesting and made me want to read more by him. Only problem is I can't put it down - I was reading it till well after 1am this morning and then my brain was buzzing and I couldn't sleep for ages!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
