    Well said kitschkitty!

JoolzS - My mum brought us up with: just because you don't like it doesn't mean everyone else doesn't like it - and if I'm honest she has always said if you haven't got something nice to say don't say it at all!

As a bride to be I enjoy the programme because it shows me how I don't want my wedding! It is after all our day so we will have it how we want it. I very much resent being called an idiot - I am far from it! I just enjoy watching something you obviously don't. I don't for one minute believe that it is 'real' and all done in that space of time just the groom because there are not many men like mine who would do a wonderful job!

she was pretty spoilt, but asside from that, i just kept thinking all the way through, 'god you sound so 18' she just was proof for why most 18 year olds shouldnt get married. she will look back on it one day and realise how immature she sounded, and regret that she made herself look like such a cow. But, it is overplayed, and i wouldnt be surprised if the whole shoe thing was set up, because did you see the shoes she ended up with? They were completely different, so i reckon he did know what she would like but was told to buy crappy shoes.

I wouldnt say they wouldnt last, he did say on several occasions that other people would think shes a !!!!!, and she was a handful, but they did love each other, and the way i see it, he can handle her now, and shes just very young so she will probably mellow out a little bit over time. and there are plenty of us on here that can admit to having bridezilla strops, its highly stressful just before the wedding, only difference is we probably wouldnt do it over a pair of shoes, but i bet weve all blown our top at our OH without really a good enough reason?

What is too young to get married??

I can't possibly comment on this, as I got married first time on my 20th birthday....we did 15 years & 2 kids (just!) but I still think I was too young to get married.

Having said that, I don't think I behaved as childishly as she did, and my dad & then-husband would not have promised me everything I wanted either....which doesn't help to encourage mature behaviour!
  • Well, OH and i were watching this last night as well and we could not beleive how ungreatful she was!!!!!!!

I honestly think a lot of it had to be set up to trigger her (the shoes etc) to make a better show - he was saying at the start about winding her up with a boat trip so i think it might be a condition that they have to go for extreme reactions.

The reason that such a ridiculous TV show has continued for more than two years is because idiots such as yourselves actually believe it is real!!

I think the participants in the show are the intelligent ones because they manage to overplay the drama and get their wedding paid for by the production company.

We all know it's edited to make the people look as bad and stupid as they are ~ but tell me, if she didn't say those things in last nights programme, who did?

I think you will find she did, so that makes it real.

I would never ever EVER have said anything like that, I'm not selfish, I'm not immature and I'm not ungreatful ~ so calling her OH a 'nob' because he sent her a rose, was that bit not real was it? Was that an intelligent thing to say?

We didn't want our wedding paid for by TV and have the world and it's Uncle scrutinising it ~ but that is what they have chosen to do, so they have to live with the consequences when it gets aired and people don't like them very much!

Me and OH watched it last night and I think that the groom made a great choice with the dress. I quite liked the silver shoes but defo not the white ones, and unfortunately I missed the replacements.
I kept joking that we should have a bash at that show and OH could organise everything for me but that didn't go down too well!!! He wouldn't even pick me out a top to wear one night when I asked him to find me something as I couldn't decide and all I got was "No way am I getting into that and being accused of trying to tell you what to wear". He has got a point:rotfl:
