Feeling brighter today. Just closed my MBNA credit card :j and painted my nails a fab red colour I got for free:j:j
Working from home so no Pret spends today, too.
I've been letting myself daydream about how good it will feel in January when I won't have the guilt hangover of putting Christmas on my credit card and dreading having to dip into my inheritance to pay a chunk off when it inevitably becomes unmanageable. It's a nice feeling. I know I'm so fortunate to have that cushion of funds, and I'm so grateful, but equally determined to not fritter any more of them away. My grandad was an amazing man :A and I'd just want him to be proud of me.Debt-free & saving for the next big adventure

Well done on closing your MBNA card!
Shame about your weekend in Bath being cancelled.
Well done on your ebay sales!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Yeuch. Must focus!
So my plans for making £20 a day in December have derailed since all the money was coming from eBay, and it didn't really occur to me that that would only be good for the first half of this month. However, I must not go off the rails because I didn't hit my target - always a risk, I'm such a perfectionist!
On the positive side, OH started our spring cleaning early at the weekend and put together two huge bags of carp to be sold, so I'll get started on that as soon as we're in to January. It is really neither here nor there whether it's done in December or January. I'm just impatient. An impatient perfectionist - the worst kind :rotfl:
I did at least hit my own personal end of year target, which was to get my total debt under £2500. Plus, Christmas spending will be finished up as of this evening and all accounted for.
