Just leave it switched on...undisturbed... for as long as it takes to automatically reset itself

It may take longer than an hour so just leave it ON till it resets.

I left the ignition on for over an hour and it reseted itself. Put the code you supplied and viola now I can burn some music on CDs to enjoy.

Code is 8987 for that serial number.

Make sure you have the correct serial number for the radio.

Sometimes pressing buttons 1 and 6 or 2 and 6 together will display it. If not the radio will have to be removed to find it on the label on the back.

Sorry. Your code will only be available from a main dealer or the unit will have to be taken into a radio decoding specialist.
It is unlikely to be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet

I'm trying to find the code for my Ford Focus stereo after the battery ran flat and had to be changed over.

The serial number is V284030.

Sorry. Serial numbers beginning with a V are not available free. They are Ford dealer or radio specialist dealer only as the codes are not calculated from the serial number and access is needed to Ford's database to retrieve the code.
