I know Ford V codes are main dealer...

(ours wanted £30, reduced to £25 after an independent removed the radio to get the code, and kindly didn't charge when they couldn't convert V code...that main dealer won't get any more of our future servicing or potential sales business)...

...or chargeable; but if anyone could please help me out, I will be very grateful -

Heh, bought a second hand Audi A4 B5 2001 y. with the stock Symphony radio.. Got all the docs, the service book but the radio code snippet is torn apart from the radio manual. When asked, the local dealer asked for a 20 euro fee (action takes place in Lithuania) in order to retrieve the radio code though the radio and car came from the factory altogether.. Then I bought a Audi radio removal tools from eBay, but once taken out, the radio did not have any written safe code on it
