    Hi Everyone

My first post so please be kind:)

I have a 54 plate Citroen Dispatch that's just had a new starter motor and there is nothing anywhere saying what the radio code is?

Can anyone please help me out on this

    model PU-2294A(C)
    SERIAL NUMBER CL040140967174C

    Thanks
    Phil

This units code can only be calculated if there is another number that is 12 letters and digits long on the barcode beginning with a letter C, not a CL such as C70000001234. Have a look to see if this style of number is on the label on the back of the unit. If not it is only possible to get the code from the main dealer or a car radio specialist.
  • this is what is on the radio

    BAR CODE

    already answered above ?

Your radio is made by CLARION and the only CLARION code that can be calculated (using a serial number ) anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with C7000000**** on a separate label somewhere on the metal casing.
    (Note ...not beginning with CL.)

If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM) inside your radio
  • Thanks Shooting. Just had a new battery fitted and needed this again. Came back here and got it right away. Thanks. :-)

Ford V Serial codes are not usually available for free from anywhere on the Internet (unless you can blag it for free from Ford) as they are not calculated using software but require access to the Ford factory database( via a Ford Dealer)...which is not commercially available as software.

See your PM message for reliable suggestions..with a guarantee

Otherwise try your Ford Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service

(link removed as I'm new and can't link, so google "ford car radio forums v serial number database" instead)

For future reference of ford radio codes beginning with V (like mine, 2007 Fiesta with a 6000CD radio), see the link above.

Sadly neither my code nor the guy you quoted's code are present in the limited archive they have, but there is a link to a site on there blatantly run by some insider who has access to the database and will sell you your code for £4. I'll try it tomorrow after finding out how much ford want for the code

  • Hi mate, just wondered if you still had the capability(and willingness!) to give out unlocking codes for Ford stereos, mine is a 4500 RDS and the serial number is MO11226.

    Much appreciated,
    Paul
