    Hello,
The code for serial number M391789 is correct.
But often the numbers in the books intretien are false.
Then you have to remove the radio from tablaeu panel and check the n / s on labels adhesives on the radio.

    .

Thanks for trying to help out G.Ayrton. I went around to the dealership today (Monday) & explained that the code on my radio did not match that of the book I was issued. Cheeky gits said that the radio must've been replaced at some point. I explained that this is not the case as I've had it from brand new and the radio & documents have been in my possession all the time I've owned it. I asked if I could buy a set of double din keys to removed the radio to check the serial number & they don't sell them. It was explained that the technicians had a set, but they are loathe to lend them out, so it would be £20 for help in sorting out my radio.

I explained again, that the fault was the dealership's for issuing the wrong booklet with my car & that I would not be paying the dealership for a solution. I told the lad that I could get an online solution once I could remove the radio & identify the correct serial number & that double din keys for my radio sell for a couple of pounds on eBay.

The final point I made was that I intended to use any means necessary to inform our local population about their error, the inconvenience & lack of customer care if this was not resolved free of charge today & hey presto, he entered my registration on his computer and within a couple of seconds, I had the correct code for my radio!

  • Hi,

Just got back from holiday to flat battery on '98 Disco and unknown radio code. The radio is a Clarion I think Land Rover code AMR 2194LNF, stamped on the back is the number CR0171SOO27036. Can anyone supply a code or is it a throw away job?

    Cheers.

    Hello,
    Sorry.
Your code (CLARION) will only be available from someone with access to the Main Dealer database or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service

It is unlikely to be available for free from anywhere on the Internet..
