TO ENTER CODE - press station preset button 1 repeatedly for 1st diget of your keycode - repeat the same on - 2 for 2nd - 3 for 3rd - 4 for 4th - & if the display then shows the correct keycode number press preset button 5 to enter - photo shows radio extractor keys & serial number on the radio casing - go to u-tube & see remove ford radio
  • thanks ever so much

FORD CODES ONLY ! -- single code requests for personal use only ( one per 6 months ) -- we need the ( correct ) serial number to get the code ( your audio paperwork or radio may not be the original ones ) you will not have unlimited code entry attempts only 10 to 13 & then it will lock you out so do not enter it if its not for that radio -- if you need your serial number then some radios you can press the station preset buttons -- 1&6 or 2&6 -- & it may display the serial number if not then the radio will have to come out from the dashboard ( a vidio on you-tube can show you how ) on the casing of the radio is the radio keycode/serial number label with the serial number on it for that radio ( see photo on the left eg M123456 or V123456 one letter & six numbers ) if its a M serial just post it, SORRY ! BUT IF ITS A "V serial" then its not free as access is required to the original FORD factory database ( which is not commercially available ) if you need info on poss best sites please ask by posting here & a message will go on your private messages on the header at the top of the page --- take a look on e-bay or http://ukbookshelf.co.uk/fordv I will send a message if needed !
    moistapple please read above

I'm a bit confused by this thread because early on there are lots of people reporting success with various radio code websites, programmes available from eBay, etc... yet the last few pages are just autoresponses stating that the codes can't be found on the web.

Why is that? Are codes only available for certain radio models? Or have all the previously working sites been shut down?

E.g. I've got a 10 year old Corsa with a CDR2005 radio which needs a code. From Vauxhall I'll have to wait a) until I get the updated log book back (could be weeks) and b) until I can next get into a garage at the weekend (not for the forseeable future) and it'll cost me 30 quid... whereas I want to get it up and running now, and for less than that! Is there any hope on the web? Why the change from the earlier posts where people are having good results?

    Thanks.

    EDIT: Details as follows:

    Siemens VDO 330886636
    CDR2005 (E)
Serial number from the side seems to be GM020532869904

Would really appreciate an unlock code please!

    Thanks!

Car radio codes are produced from a variety of methods depending on the radio make , model and year .

Yours is a VDO CDR2005 and these VDO codes have to be looked up on the Main Dealer Database...and this is not commercially available to buy as software.

If your radio had been made by Blaupunkt or Becker or Ford M Series or Renault (Philips) then there is software available for the code to be calculated and posted on here for free.

Similarly if it is a pre year 2000 Philips or Grundig radio then there is database software available for the code to be looked up.

But unfortunately nothing available for your VDO fitted into a Vauxhall

Many online sites are chancy because even if they sell you a code then if it does not work in your radio there may not be a money refund....so ask before paying.

The better option is a local Radio Decoding Service who should be able to get your radio working for around £20/£25

Yellow Pages, Google or ask at your local Car Audio Store

....or buy another radio with a working code
