hey, just to let you know that i managed to get my code over the phone from ford - with NO charge!!!

Thanks for the useful info. Tried the press AS/ON at the same time but no beeb. Tried leaving it on but as you mention, it switches itself off too quickly.

Received the original manual from the person i got the radio from this morning and you were spot on about the extra press to get '0'.

States after the 9th attempt you are locked out for 10 hrs so should imagine during the short time frame i attempted to sort this that any failed attempts wouldn't have registered? (during the waiting period).

If so i have another chance (at least one) but looks like i'll be taking it out to get the power on for longer. I have a battery charger. Any thoughts on that please...
..is it a question of finding which pins on the back relate to positive/negative or do i have to dismantle the casing to get inside somehow.

Ihave the same pboblem with my car stereo. After disconnectin car battery for a while it demands a code that i dont have. I`m asking if someone can help me getting it. Stereo is Grundig SCD 3490 RDS gr119920165120 and come from VW golf 2000 year (it may not be the original one-i`m not sure)
Please help my if you can !!!!!
