Can anyone help me, please. I would like to know if there is a way to get a radio code for a 02 Ford Fiesta without taking the radio out to retrieve the serial no. The car is fitted with a triple deck and to remove it I will have to dismantal the front consol. I've looked on the web to do this but all I can see is problems removing heater controls, mainly breaking plastic clips, that would involve extra cost, just to get my radio working. I'm not looking for free codes but don't want to get ripped off by Fords.
Any help?

Hi, I was trying to get the serial code from my radio by pressing Alt, then holding 6+1 and then releasing. All I got was the following

CD_KW_8
ALIGN
SWP1-6561
SWP2-- 14C044
SWP3--AC
SWP4-

Is there a serial number in there anywhere?

You are in fact lucky , just hold the 1st ( or 2nd) button down at the same time as the 6th ......... the M code should be displayed

No Serial No. If you can not find the number in your documents remove the unit may be the only option.

Hope you can help, after changing alternator and battery, needed the code but they didnt put the code in the service book.

In fact it wasn't Alt (doh!), but Aux, then 6+1. 6+2 didn't do anything on my stereo
