HELP!!! Damsel in great distress, and going bald from pulling hair out after spending hundreds on repairs to my Galaxy, Ford now want to charge me £10 for radio code. I have looked at couple of posts but they all seem to say about taking stereo out, the only bit that comes out from my stereo is the bottom with the number buttons. Do I need some special keys to take whole system out for serial number or is there any other way to find out code?

Which unit is fitted in your Galaxy Details on front of unit, Try hold 6 press 1 or hold 6 press 2 May give you Serial No.

My wife has a Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.4, and we have recently had the clutch changed and alas, the radio is asking for the code.

The serial number is: M145536

Your radio is made by CLARION and the only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with
C 7000000 + + + + on a separate label somewhere on the metal casing.
(Note ...not beginning with CL.)

If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM) inside your radio
