I have a Volvo T4 s40 ..HU-605 unit id rather not replace it.i would make my day if you could help me out here.
I called volvo this morning and they wanted to charge £18 for the code..i tryed to convince them to give it to me but they wouldn't, its left me quite annoyed...anyway if you can help me that would be so amazing i cant tell you..anyway the details needed are as follows:

It will not be available for free from anywhere on the Internet


You could try ringing other VOLVO dealers as Volvo have been known to give these codes away for free providing you have all the relevant paperwork

Post the 14 character SERIAL NUMBER found stamped in the metal casing.

It normally begins wih RG++++++++++++ or similar

iv just purchased a transit van without a stereo but managed to get one at my local scrap yard.after trying to install the radio and inputting the code(the official ford card with stereo serial and code came with it) it still wont work.after entering the code the radio comes on for a second,then screen goes blank and goes back to code input.i brought the stereo back to the scrap yard where the guy gave me another one with code written on it in black marker,he said this one was bought by a guy who got the code himself but was trying to install it in a mondeo and wouldnt fit,but the exact same thing happens when i try to use it.which leads me to believe its not the radio,any ideas??the serial number of this one is m153681 ford radio 6000cd. thanks in advance
