Hi guys, it appears that this might not be the serial number of the unit, but there weren't any codes that followed the MXXXXXX format.

Would V008127 be the serial number? It looked like the most likely candidate when I took out the stereo. It's a 56 reg Ka if that helps, stereo model FD600A (6000 CD RDS EON).

If not, where is the sn for this unit?

Yes, V008127 is the serial. Unfortunately, no-one on here can get a code a 'V' serial. You will need to go to Ford or a Radio Service Specialist.

Doh! That is just my luck.

Thanks anyway, thought this would be better than paying the £15 rip off that local Ford dealer wanted. Shouldn't they just have this sort of thing on file, how is it £15?
