wow - that was quick!!! i was just putting the stereo back in the dash when your reply popped up and bang - music is back in the car! i'd been meaning to sort it out since christmas and having to sing nursery rhymes with my three year old on the was to nursery every morning was starting to get a bit boring!

I took my car to get a new alternator and, when I got it back, I tried to put the code in and it says SAFE and won't accept the code. In the manual it says that it does that after 10 attempts putting the wrong code in but I didn't even get as far as putting it in once.

Does anyone know if there's anything I can do please?

Just selling my Fiesta and putting the factory cassette player back in and i cannot find the code to unlock it. It's a Ford Traffic 3000 Serial M080914.

I presume this code is only for the standard radio and if I put a new one in I don't need it?

The code is for the individual radio unit, so if you remove and replace it, you will need to input the relevant code for the new unit. Likewise, whoever you pass on your old unit to will need your existing code.
