  • Hi, I been a nut and pulled out the wrong fuse in my Y reg Astra which in turn locked my Delco 500 radio. I've turned the house upside down to find the card with the number on and can't find it (always the way)

The numbers on the radio are:

    4 660 103
    GM90 493 281
    >PA6 - GF15<

I'm hoping someone can help with the code as I'm due to go on a long drive on Monday and need my music.

Unfortunately DELCO codes are not obtainable for free (using the Serial Number) from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database which is only available to the Main Dealer or one the larger professional Decode Services.

The alternative is for your radio to be taken/posted to a Decode Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop who will plug it into a laptop and electronically read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

Grundig codes are not calculated , but are looked up on a database.

Unfortunately this Serial Number SEZ2Z6E3130883 is not listed on the only commercially available database so will have to be obtained from your Main Dealer or by using a Radio Decoding Service (who will read/recode your radio by connecting a laptop the memory chip (EEPROM ) )

  • Hi,

We have been looking for the code for our radio for months after our mechanic disconnected something to do a repair. I've looked at the online decoding websites and they want to charge £25 for it. I was wondering if anyone could help us please?

    The serial number is GM050011178546

The radio is VDO CDR500 and the car is a Vauxhall Astra.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Natasha
