I recently removed my car bettery to charge it up and when i put it back the code for my stereo was needed and i do not have it.
The stereo is a Ford 6000 CD RDS and the serial number is M189938
Can anyone provide me with the code?
Thanks in advance.0 -
Forgive my stupid question, but can someone tell me if this works on Ford Radios which have been locked because someone has entered the wrong code too many times?
I have the right code documented, but I think the radio has been locked down for this reason.
Would it be possible to unlock it via a code in this instance, or is this just for people who have lost their code?0 -

If you radio is shwing lock 10 (or any number up to that) then turn on the radioand leave UNDISTURBED till it resets, can take around an hour.
If it's showing lock 13 then
eh! how do you know you have the right code? (and why would someone try entering the wrong one!)
If you post back then quote the serial on the radio and not in any paperwork, also quote the code you have0 -
I know thought i'd edited that. Its M189938
Thanks.0 -
I've just bought the car 2nd hand and had a call from the salesman in the garage. He's offering to get the radio sent to Ford and fixed via their (expensive) process free of charge, I'm just trying to see if I can shortcut and save him money...
I've just spoken to him again and he says it's just saying "Locked" no numeric code. He's going to try leaving it on and undisturbed for an hour or so to see what happens.
From what I've said here (and apologies for the 3rd hand information) does it sound likely?0 -

Sounds like it should reset if left on, but if it doesn't then get him to sort out code0
