hi, i'll give it a go when the boss comes home with the car. out of interest, am i being dopey? i guess you use the numbered buttons on the radio? the only problem is that there are only 1 to 6.

You do not quote the model! The majority of codes on Peugeots are entered in the same way:-:-
Switch Radio On - Display Shows
" CODE IN " And Then Shows " - - - - "
Enter CODE in the order it is read - eg:
For Example, Press Preset 1 9 times then 2 twice, then 3 four times then 4 six times
Some models accept the code autmatically on others you then have to press and hold button 5
