    hi,

Is there any way of obtaining the serial number of my ford stereo without having to remove it from the car and look at the back? I need to enter the code as the battery went dead and see that the serial number is needed for this.

    cheers
Try pressing 6 and 2 together (or sometimes 2+5). On some models, usually Fiestas, the M serial will be displayed on the screen. If that does not work I am afraid you will have to pull it out. What car / year is it ?
  • 17 digit VIN NUMBER stored in the radio can be easily reprogrammed from the ADV MENU on the radio
If you are lucky - yes - not all units do this

I am trying to locate the serial number of my 6006 CDC unit. By pressing buttons 1 and 6, I get some numbers on the display, as follows:

    06-02-21
    MCD-GGD5 -8
    23/01/2006
    05-01-02

Then there is also some SWP numbers. Is the serial number contained in any of these numbers?
  • Hi, my battery went dead on my ford fiesta, and I've no code for my radio.
