Hi Guys, I have refitted the original stereo to my 306 as the argos alba jobbie has decided to give up the ghost exactly 1 year after buying nonetheless!! :mad:

I have lost the radio code card i had with the car, i dont want to pay the stealers £20 for this code. Can anyone help with this please?

Details are:

Barcode: C6CBE0015486
Barcode: *C70000004311*

Serial No: 0015486

Also this number: 96 241480 ZL
The model is a Clarion PU-9983B

How can I doublecheck the serial number of the unit without taking it out? The serial number which I supplied was in the vehicle handbook.

You do not say what model it is - but most codes are entered the same way - press button 1 repeadly till 0 shows button 2 till 0 shows etc then press and hold button 5, unit should beep and accept code.

If this is what you have done then try pressing button 2 + 5 (or 2 + 6) on some models this will give the serial number.

If not afraid you will have to remove it.

If the serial is the same then, chances are the unit has been recoded in the past, if so, afraid you will have to use a dealer or local decode service to reprogramme it again

Many Thanks. The model type is 6006 CDC. I have entered the code as you mention and it does not seem to work. I will try to pressing 2 + 5 (or 2 + 6) to check seiral number.

Yep code entry as stated:
Switch Radio On - Display Shows
CODE with " - - - - " flashing
Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st Digit
Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd Digit
Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd Digit
Press preset " 4 " repeatedly for 4th Digit
If the correct code number is now shown
Press preset " 5 " to Enter

SILLY question - is this the original unit for vehicle, I believe that 6006CDC's also have the VIN No progammed into it!
