Thanks for the info. Yes - it is the original unit with the vehicle. It was repaired by a Ford Main Dealer (under warrenty) some time ago because a CD was stuck inside. How do I access the VIN or serial number of this unit? Is it by pressing 2+5 (or 2+6).0 -

17 digit VIN NUMBER stored in the radio can be easily reprogrammed from the ADV MENU on the radioHow do I access the VIN

Is there any way of obtaining the serial number of my ford stereo without having to remove it from the car and look at the back? I need to enter the code as the battery went dead and see that the serial number is needed for this.

Had a flat battery on my 2002 Focus and dont have the radio code.
Managed to get the radio out and it says;
M044973
Hope someone can help,or its a costly trip to Ford!!
