Do the resent now, after 10 tried it locks and shows code 10, then you may OR MAY NOT get a couple of more chances. If it gets to code 13 bin it

im not as smart as i sound im completley confused now.... so what shall i do again or how do i reset it even........ ive put the code in and when i press 5 (enter) the stereo switches itself off and when i turn it back on its like starting the whole process again. it initially said it was on attempt 6 but when id put the code in it went back to attempt 1............. confused.com............. thanks buddy

That now makes 2 of us;)

Not come across your problem before.
To reset a unit that has locked you can normally turn on the ignition and leave the stereo switched on, undisturbed. This will unlock it, it can take up to an hour.

Have just found a previous post by HoofeHearted that gave instructions on entering code for most Fords.


Current Four Digit Ford Radio Codes
Ford 3000 Traffic, 4000RDS, 5000RDS, 6000RDS, 6006E, etc

Switch the radio on and the word CODE should appear in the display

Repeatedly press button 1 until the correct first digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 2 until the correct second digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 3 until the correct third digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 4 until the correct fourth digit of the code is displayed.
Once the code supplied is showing on the radio's display,
press button 5 to activate the radio.

Maybe RegWorts or HoofeHearted can shed a bit more light on it

Not sure, but I think there may be a few more sets of numbers you may have to quote! in particular maybe a Security Number in the format of TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode so please quote EVERYTHING you can find
