Hi guys, my wifes car has just come back from the body shop and we cant get the code which is in the book to work, it is a ford ka with a FD600A2 CD/Radio fitted, serial no: M037750, any help much appreciated.

On my wifes ka i had to pull the unit out of the dash, each side of the radio are 2 holes which you need a key to insert and release the locking mechanism, 2 are required, i used to bent welding rods then all the information is on a paper label on top of the radio.

The code should start with M then 6 numbers.
Remove the unit and you will see it on the top

Check that it the right code by removing the unit.
If it is, it is possible your stereo is locked:(
Switch it on and leave it undisturbed, may take up to an hour then try again
