Car Radio Unlocking

Hi I have a ford fiesta and the battery needed replacing - now stereo not working.

I have tried 4536 but that didnt work? Any suggestions? The seriel number is M014794.

Hi Jacqui - afraid that this is the right ORIGINAL code for your stereo.
Chances are that it has been re-coded in the past:mad:

Afraid you are going to have to use a a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

Where did that serial number come from, if not from the sticker on the unit then don't trust it as being the correct one.

Thank you very much for your help. I got the seriel number from the handbook? Is that correct, or should I take the stereo out and check it on the actual stereo?

Sorry should have suggested that in last post (slap on wrist from Molerat!;))

Take the unit out and check the serial on there, if not sure how to, then check the link in my signature

Hi. I wonder if you could provide me with a radio code for Ford 6000cd. Flat battery again. Radio requesting code and as it was purchased used I don't have code. The sn is M059739.

Can I just say that after reading this thread that I didn't have to take the radio out to get the sn but as previously advised pushed no.6 and then no.1, which then gave me the sn.
