  • Can anyone help. Car had some repairs done on it yesterday and the battery was disconnected so of course now the stereo needs a code and we cannot find it anywhere (have had car for 5 years). DH has managed to get the stereo out, the car is a Peugeot 806, stereo is a Philips. There are lots of numbers on the body of it so not sure exactly which is the serial no. but here goes:

    Model no. 22 RC 465/65
    Prod.No. FD 0197259004095
    902231465659
    M/ch: 004348

Can anyone help? Have a 100 mile round trip to do tomorrow and won't cope with the kids entertaining me for 2 hours!!!

4831 is the code for that serial. You need to remove the unit and get the serial from the sticker.

Thanks, that is the same code that was provided on a radio that I purchased from ebay. I thought the code the seller provided me with was incorrect because when I enter this code and complete using button 5 on the radio. It just displays CODE4045 and the radio is still locked.

    Any ideas please?

There should be a 14 character Serial Number beginning with RG or RN or PH or similar (often found stamped in the metal casing ) and maybe a Security Number in the format of TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode so please quote EVERYTHING you can find

Are you quoting the correct Serial Number?

The correct one will be on a label on the radio casing and not necessarily the one printed in the car`s paperwork/Audio Guide
