So for those who ordered last night for store delivery, are they not going to continue with the orders?

I have no idea as they didn't have a problem accepting my order at the time and now i've just gone through some of the items i ordered and at least 2 of the things i really wanted are now oos. So not going to get those and as time ticks by before they bother to dispatch i can see most of it dissapearing. Can't even change it now to home delivery!
I assumed they dispatched after getting the orders and these places usually take a day or 2 to get them to the store anyway. Tesco can manage it!
What will happen to my store order if i re-order for home and don't bother collecting the leftovers from the store?

edit-saying that why should i give them more money for delivery because they can't manage store collections properly. After this i won't bother again with their sales.

Oh great i stayed up late on the first night and ordered quite a bit for store collection and chose the first day available which is saturday. So i guess now that means i'm not going to get anything! What was the point in me being one of the first to order if someone who ordered today is going to get theirs and i wont get mine. I figured they would dispatch stuff to stores as soon as the got the orders. Whats wrong with m&s!

Two of the items I ordered last night (the 2 things I really really really wanted) are now out of stock, so unlikely to get them. I ordered via Standard Delivery at 2am last night and they are still being prepared - I think they must give the nominated delivery priority. I'll try to remember that in future.

totally agree, last time my order was so messed up they ended up compensating me for the inconvenience. That was after I'd had my original order cancelled and re-ordered most things several times before it arrived! I'm not prepared to pay delivery for things I might not even keep - M&S sizes are so arbitrary these days you can't be sure.

    Hi,

I phoned M & S today to change my order from store collection to home delivery, but the customer service staff said I would recieve my order to collect in store on Monday anyway and why pay extra delivery charges. I told him I ordered last night and heared they dont deliver sale items to store to collect and he said order would not have gone through if that was the case.

    So heres hoping!

i thought the same, until i checked my spam filter, which is where it had ended up. i use gmail and its never done that with my marks confirmation emails before, so perhaps worth a check?
Thanks, was wondering where my email was too and sure enough, there it was in spam! Also use gmail.

If anyone ordered this in a size 12 and then doesn't want it when it arrives (as it is now Out of Stock) - please PM me - thank you :)

I don't think there's any reason to think that things ordered for in store collection will be cancelled unless the items are out of stock. My orders are saying "to be despatched soon" and I'll believe that unless i hear otherwise from M&S

Problem is they aren't 'picking' in warehouse for store collections until they are going to load them onto the lorry/truck to go to the store and if you've got a day like saturday booked thats not going to be until thurday night (at a guess) so during that whole time other customers orders are being 'picked' for packing and home delivery which get collected by the courier every day.

If they 'picked' the orders when they got them in instead of waiting until a certain day to do it then they wouldn't have a problem with the store collections. It wont get cancelled as such just wont be much left by the time they pick and pack it. :(

I hope that's the case for everyone. But when I called last time at the sales, I was told that priority was given to home delivery above stores. They have put on every page that sales stuff can't be collected in store, so clearly there is a wrong message somewhere between all the call centre staff and the website!!

I hope you get all your items, though! :)
