Good morning everyone. At least if you like 'wet and wild' it's good I suppose!
I was browsing a couple of copies of 'Delicious' magazine this morning. (I have SAD, so sit with my lamp for quite a while this time of year. Sometimes it's a nuisance - workdays- and sometimes it's a pleasure like this morning, kids gone, sitting under fleece with mags and laptop and a cuppa.)
I idly wondered if they have a website and they do, checked for today's recipe and it looks good for veggie element of the family and as accompaniment for the rest. Lunch or whatever. Think I will make it (with bogstandard spuds as I have lots ) and try freezing it.

There are loads of recipe sites out there, varying degrees of quality... not always sure the recipes would work on some of them.

The above is my choice for w/e when dd isn't here. BBC good food has nice pictures and lots of inspiration too.

Had a little look at the Sainsbury's one as well.
How about posting your favourite food/recipe sites here? Apologies if this has already been done. Couldn't find it, am a relative newbie... not to MSE, but to the OS board"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

The prima one in particular is good for simple cost effective recipes and easily obtainable ingredients.0 -

Hi all,
I came across https://www.allrecipes.com/co.uk and it's brilliant. Not only can you check out the recipe reviews but what prompted me to post this was the fact that so many of you are making homemade sweets and chocolates this year as a gift.
I would also like to make it clear that I am in no way affiliated to this website I just wanted to share it in case some didn't know about it. I often get meal inspirations from it as well.
Enjoy!0 -
I love allrecipes and use it often - the online conversion thingy from US to UK measures is really helpful. There are some great recipes too - I highly, highly recommend the sour-cream banana bread that's on there (it's the one with loads of reviews, and a cinnmon and sugar 'crust'), it's absolutely gorgeous. Nice to read about the changes people have made to recipes too.0

Thanks for th banana bread tip.... we love this bread. I was looking for something to have on Christmas day after our roast beef and this is perfect. I am just printing it off!0

They've got a UK and Ireland version too which is a lot smaller with less reviews but you don't have to worry about unclear US ingredients and measures. Hopefully there'll be lots of extra recipes on there soon.0
