I may be missing something here but how can OP claim for postgage. Strictly speaking OP has not paid Royal Mail for the postage, they have paid a third party. The third party are the one who have the deal with RM to have the tickets delivered signed for.

And I think Chris is talking about his personal experience where the item hasn't turned up. Not the OP, where it is clear the item has turned up, although not in the manner expected.
  • I send a letter 1st class recorded 4 days ago and it is still showing as in the delivery system. I hope it isn't lost and they just haven't bothered asking for signature as it needs to be recieved by the 26th!

Is there a way to find out where it is just incase for some reason it isn't showing on the web?

It is still a 'signed for' service that isnt being carried out.

If I bought something online that was described as something I wanted and then when I got it, it was something completely different I would expect my money back!!

    There is no difference.

It is possible to reclaim the 74p recorded element if an item arrives with no signature obtained. I used to do this every time i ran out of money, I'd go through my work items and send in huge batches of claims and get enought stamps back as compensation to keep me going for ages. It is quite a lot of hassle though fro 74p and it si the sender that makes the claim as they need to send in the original recorded receipt together with a claim form. Always keep copies as well as the claims often go astray
i think if the recipient has been dis-honest and not told me that he has received it then, i dont really want to, but i may make a claim to my mobile phone insurance and state that its been lost, otherwise il only get £41 back from RM

I would be very surprised if the insurance paid out after that.

    No, you can't find out.
